If you want to see an error in the packaging, your should tell us which
command you're executing, the full error output and, most importantly,
not use any deb-multimedia packages that may interfere with the Debian
packages.

[Pkg-kde-extras] keurocalc cmake problems

2014-06-21 Thread Michael Meskes
Hi,

does anyone know the ins and outs for cmake? Unfortunately I do not. Later
version refuse to build keurocalc with a cmake error, namely this one for each
directory under po/:

CMake Error at /usr/share/kde4/apps/cmake/modules/FindGettext.cmake:232
(ADD_CUSTOM_TARGET):
add_custom_target cannot create target "pofiles" because another target
with the same name already exists. The existing target is a custom target
  created in source directory
  "/home/michael/Technik/sources/archive/kde/keurocalc/po/bg". See
documentation for policy CMP0002 for more details.
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  po/zh_TW/CMakeLists.txt:2 (GETTEXT_PROCESS_PO_FILES)

I've talked to upstream but apparently he doesn't know enough about cmake to
fix it either.

+1 from me. I'd love to have one or the other around, but not as KDE3 version

Sure, guidance-power-manager uses and depends on python2.6 for a reason.

This makes the decision easy, right? However, we should be aware that the kde4

This has nothing to do with the battery. The program simply refuses to run on a
non-laptop. I have yet to check if it does something meaningful on a

This is what I usually do. But this case is special because kdebluetooth 0.4 is
only in experimental and I don't see it moving anytime soon because of its
limited functionality. So the kde3 version should still be available for
packaging work. However it appears that nobody is interested in fixing those

Ah, you had the mysql provider installed. Of course there is no error message
in this case because there is a valid connection provider. There is no way for

Users shouldn't expect "apt-cache show tora" to show all the information they
need. And tora will tell you about the missing connection provider when you

Given my current knowledge about -talk (nil) I'd prefer to have everything on
-devel to not need just another mailing list.

As you like. Personally I'd prefer to move everything to git, but there is no

The packages I do most work on are in git for kde4 and in svn for kde3.

While removing the upstream files for 1.0.5 I noticed that there is only

However, I also noticed that 1.0.5 does not compile either. :-)

Last remaining question is, do we really need the whole upstream source

Could anyone please tell me what happened to these releases? I wasn't

Also I saw that there are quite some patches in the sources and not as
single patches in the patches dir. I think this is strongly discouraged
by policy. If a patch system is used all patches should be in there.

I don't really like this non-usage because it means I have to go tarball
hunting if I want to compile one of the packages. Given that some of the
packages might need dfsg cleaning up the only valid tarball probably is
the orig.tar.gz in the package. Now if a new version is being worked
