It's the same type of denial, yep. The key parts are: type=method_return requested_reply=0 It's an unrequested reply, so it's being denied. I'm guessing it's a HAL bug. Anyways these denials are typically harmless; we should probably consider not auditing them. Reassigning to hal and downgrading to normal. But the hal.conf dbus policy should be fixed (and your version looks fine) for this dbus version. Do you use static groups via /etc/groups or a networked setup like nis or ldap?
