There is a plan [1]. Execution is quite slow and I don't expect it to go quite fast as part of the plan is to move repositories one by one after cleaning their respective gerrit queues. First step is to move the aggregator build repository as it's almost never used by anyone else but releng thus provides least disruptive learning experience and is the hardest one to port so when we switch it doing the rest should not block on any potential technical issue.

Thanks all of you for the quick replies.

https://git.eclipse.org/c/

This seems to be outdated with the last commit in April.

https://git.eclipse.org/r/admin/repos/platform/eclipse.platform.swt.binaries

This page helps and this is the clone URL:

https://git.eclipse.org/r/platform/eclipse.platform.swt.binaries

What a struggle!

Is it planned to move the repositories to GitHub?

2021-12-09 Thread Jonah Graham
Assuming you can't use Ed's suggestion, the link I sent you before gives
you clone command to use.

e.g.

git clone "https://git.eclipse.org/r/platform/eclipse.platform.swt.binaries;
&& (cd "eclipse.platform.swt.binaries" && mkdir -p .git/hooks && curl -Lo
`git rev-parse --git-dir`/hooks/commit-msg
https://git.eclipse.org/r/tools/hooks/commit-msg; chmod +x `git rev-parse
--git-dir`/hooks/commit-msg)

Re: [platform-dev] Eclipse/SWT source repositories?

2021-12-09 Thread Ed Merks

Thomas,

You could use the following approach so that you have an IDE with *all
*the projects in the platform SDK automatically created.  You can use
this simple link to get started:

https://www.eclipse.org/setups/installer/?url=https://git.eclipse.org/c/oomph/org.eclipse.oomph.git/plain/setups/interim/PlatformSDKConfiguration.setup=true

Or, if you want more detailed documentation for how that works, there is
this:

https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Platform_SDK_Provisioning

Of course this is overkill for your specific question because you only
need SWT:

Where can I find the source code repositories for Eclipse, especially
for org.eclipse.swt/swt.binaries? The eclipse.org website is extremely
confusing and even Google did not help me.

Thanks in advance.
