Very unlikely scenario in real > life, just thought I'd tell you. Re showing up on iPeng: that isn't new with this version. Jörg, clever chap that he is, has been supporting everything that can show up on the SBR's extras menu in iPeng for a while now. PeterW's PowerCenter plugin works great with iPeng too. I love the fact that I can turn lights on and off all over the house with my iPhone+iPeng. Re Blocks surviving shutdown & restart: The only block that would survive a system restart would be a blockfile on a windows machine: C:\Windows\temp\spc-block. All the other blocks are "volatile" and will disappear upon system restart, no matter from whence it is initiated. Re "Clear Block" being unclear: do you feel differently about this now that you know that blocks are "volatile"? I'm conscious of the fact that a lot of the syntax displayed by SrvrPowerCtrl is pretty mangled. If anyone wants to go through and do a thorough re-write of the strings.txt file, please be my guest. Feel free to post a new version of strings.txt to this thread. Probably best if you zip it and attach it to a post. Re confused the plugin: Confused it how? What did you see? It really ought to be able to handle two block or unblock requests in a row just fine. The "soft-block" mechanism (i.e. a "memory block" kept by the plugin, vs. a block-file) accommodates a stack 'o blocks. Multiple blocks can be set by different users using the CLI. Picking "Clear Block" from the web menu will clear just the top 'o the stack of blocks. You might have to run "Clear Block" via the web UI several times in order to clear all the blocks. Also: it is possible to set a block from the CLI that is unclearable from the web UI. The full syntax for setting a block from the CLI is: [ srvrpowerctrl setblock reason_for_blocking block_owner_name ] If, when setting a block via the CLI, you use "viacli" as the block_owner_name, this becomes, in a sense, an anonymous block that can be cleared by anyone. This is how the web UI does it. If one uses a block_owner name other than "viacli", SrvrPowerCtrl returns a randomly generated "blockcode" which must be used to clear the block. E.G.: [ srvrpowerctrl setblock Because_I_say_so Fernando ] ..returns: srvrpowerctrl setblock Because_I_say_so Fernando 901557 To clear this block, you would have to request, via the CLI: [ srvrpowerctrl clearblock 901557 Fernando ] SrvrPowerCtrl returns: srvrpowerctrl clearblock 901557 Fernando 0 The "0" indicates that there are no more blocks to clear. If there are more blocks on the "stack", SrvrPowerCtrl returns the number of remaining blocks. If there is an error clearing the block (wrong block_code or wrong block_owner) then SrvrPowerCtrl return -1. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yes I'm on XP, sorry I forgot to add that last time. I've played around with a few filters and kind of get it although I couldn't get the bit rate one to work right. I thought I could put greater than or less than 400kbs and either get flac or mp3 but it didn't seem to work as I got all kinds of bit rates lower and higher than I put in. I'll have to play around more with it. Thanks for the pointers. Maybe we can get some others to post ideas they have made for filters. He replied that MLB is simple: WGN and all other stations send their feed.get this.through a phone line.because its easy for MLB. The engineer said I was the first to complain about this. It truly is horrible quality.the plugin is very convenient.but until they stop piping the broadcast through telephone wire, its going to stay bad. -- jojopuppyfish jojopuppyfish's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9400 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46832 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SrvrPowerCtrl wakeup time
gharris999;416175 Wrote: > Re S3 more than once per reboot: what hardware are you using? It's an onboard NIC using the via_rhine driver Code: $ lsmod|grep rhine via_rhine 31240 0 mii13440 1 via_rhine If I do sudo pm-suspend then it works and I can WOL and it comes back up in a second or two. If I then issue sudo pm-suspend again, it sleeps fine, but only a keyboard (if I have it plugged in) or a power button press will wake it. Not WOL. I've googled so much on this issue my fingers are sore. Loads of results suggesting how to make WOL work, but none for when it works from S3 once, but not again. gharris999;416175 Wrote: > Re making it work for Europeans: I don't understand about the "\+" > though. Why is that always false? Is that a wrongly expressed / > escaped regex? Doesn't the "+" need to be escaped in order to be > interpreted properly? It's a bit of a head f*&k to me. It seems to make a difference if you use single ' or double quotes ", if the 'if' uses [[ ]] or [ ], or if you use back quote ` (to execute a command). Code: $ if [[ "+0100" =~ "\+" ]]; then echo "IsEast"; else echo "IsWest"; fi IsWest $ if [[ "" =~ "\+" ]]; then echo "IsEast"; else echo "IsWest"; fi IsWest $ if [[ "-0100" =~ "\+" ]]; then echo "IsEast"; else echo "IsWest"; fi IsWest $ if [[ "+0100" =~ "+" ]]; then echo "IsEast"; else echo "IsWest"; fi IsEast $ if [[ "" =~ "+" ]]; then echo "IsEast"; else echo "IsWest"; fi IsWest $ if [[ "-0100" =~ "+" ]]; then echo "IsEast"; else echo "IsWest"; fi IsWest $ if [[ "\+0100" =~ "\+" ]]; then echo "IsEast"; else echo "IsWest"; fi IsEast So it seams as though the backslash \ is just another character to match and no an escape character in this case, and that the plus + doesn't need escaping. -- rickwookie rickwookie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6397 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62339 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
I will run a more controlled experiment and send the log file later today. Yes it happens in listen again mode, but I haven't been using the live stream. -- rabbit rabbit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13742 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
