[SlimDevices: Plugins] Adding new root-level folders to SlimServer
I am running SlimServer 6.5.4 on a Synology DS-207 NAS box. Because the DS-207 has limited memory and a relatively slow processor, upgrading to later versions of the Squeezebox server software is not an option - I have tried, and it runs impossibly slowly. I would like to add another base-level folder to the NAS box and have it appear in the Squeezebox menu at the same level as the Music Folder; e.g. Browse/Audiobooks Folder to appear in the same browse list as Browse/Music Folder. In other words, I want a folder for audiobooks (and maybe some others as well) that appear in the browse list /alongside/ Music, but not /inside/ Music. I would like the contents of this folder to be indexed separately from the Music folder and, for example, not included in the music random playlist. I realise that will require some re-programming of SlimServer as well as creating the new folders. Has anyone done anything like this? Can anyone offer any suggestions about how I might do this myself? That was it! :D There was a very old prefs file (irblaster.prefs) left over in /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/plugin on my server. I deleted it, restarted SBS and now all my volume controls match in iPeng! happy days!! thanks pippin. -- pufnstuf pufnstuf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10295 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Same as you everything displays properly on my SB3s and Boom, just not the Radio. I looked on bugzilla and didn't find anything, maybe someone else will post so additional info or advice here. -- johnas johnas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31930 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75613 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The oval buttons are for devices on which you use IRBlaster. The volume slider doesn't work with IRBlaster. If you do NOT use IRBlaster, then you probably did so in the past or have for some other reason leftover configuration options in the settings. Go to "Settings->Player Settings->->IRBlaster in the Squeezebox Server web interface and make sure there are no buttons for volume-up and volume-down defined. The detection will get better in the next iPeng release. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hi pippin I love my iPeng and I have a question about the different volume controls in iPeng: When i am controlling my SB3 the volume control on the iPeng Now Playing screen looks like two oval shaped buttons, one with an up arrow and one with a down arrow. In between the buttons is a right-angled triangle. But when I am controlling my Transporter or SBB the volume control looks like a standard itunes/apple volume control (or volume slider). This difference is also visible on the player selection screen. Is there a setting I can change to make the SB3 also look like volume slider on the transporter and SBB pages? Thanks! -- pufnstuf pufnstuf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10295 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SqueezePlay Now Playing Display Doesn't Change with Track Change
I spoke too soon. worked yesterday, but today back to same problem. Only on internet radio with track info (somafm or radioparadise) does the displayed track and/or cover not change with song change. again, shows properly on WebUI, transporter display, controller display, and ipeng. And within Squeezeplay, if I click on the "+" for more info, I see correct track. Just NOT on the main squeezeplay nowplaying screen. Odd. p.s. I seem to be talking to myself here. I'm sure there must be a few others that use SqueezePlay as a controller on their laptops to control SBs. Am I the only one with this issue? More curious than anything as it is not a serious problem. -- garym garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75613 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ExecuteScript Plugin, OSX 10.6 and SBS 7.4.2?
I'm not sure where along the line with Mac OS and Squeezebox Server the Execute Script plugin stopped working. And it may be only with the Radio that it doesn't work. But anyway I finally decided I had to discard it because it no longer worked on my system. I now use the Server Power Control plugin with a couple of custom scripts. Look in that thread for Caffeine or Jiggler to find a solution. -- danco danco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76694 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: FindArt plugin beta
Setting a special folder for art is so that you can then manually change the art to whatever name and location you have set in SBS settings or some users embed the art in the files. It may be possible for SBS to pickup downloaded files from a specified directory but you need to set up SBS settings and coverart file name formats and then check that all the settings match. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49245 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
