Meaning for BBC Radio 4, I see: top line BBC Radio 4'; second line blank; image 4. If I use TuneIn, I see: top line programme name (eg Book at Bedtime); second line BBC Radio 4 ...; image changes with programme. So I'm not using BBCiplayer for live radio. What bitrate are you getting via tunein? When I search from Tunein on my blackberry I get a variety of format/bitrate choices. From the Tunein app on squeezebox it only says 48kbps is available - no choice offered, but on the LMS display it says it's getting 128kbps CBR. 48kbps is rubbish if i'm forced by 3g limitations to listen to that feed on my blackberry, but the sound I'm getting through the squeezebox sounds like 128kbps to me - it's being replayed through a Touch connected to a Naim amp/BW speakers so it would show up horribly if I was actually getting the low bitrate. properjob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42088 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
Listen Again under iPlayer seems to work fine for me. But when I use iPlayer Extras (sometimes a program is not shown in iPlayer, but is in Extras, so I have to use Extras) I often find that there is so much rebuffering that the program is hardly worth listening to. Is that likely to be an issue with the BBC, with my ISP, or the settings on LMS (running on my computer)? If the last of these, what should I do? And if the cause is outside my control, what can be done? danco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

To illustrate the issue, non UK rates are usually 48k for WMA but 56k for AAC except for R3 during proms when it is 128K. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Extras just uses a different menu to locate the program id - then it passes the program id to iPlayer to start playing. So any rebuffering problem with Extras should happen with iPlayer. What format and player are you using ? If there is transcoding to Flac (e.g. AAC being played to IP3K based player) then local Wifi may be an issue. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] WD MyBook Live NAS
That's good advice -- install LMS first and move the cache if you encounter scanning issues. Let us know what happens! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Amazon Cloud Player plugin
I just registered to thank you for this. Now that Amazon is using the Cloudplayer as a profit-maker, I hope that Logitech incorporates an app, but I wanted to thank you for going to the trouble of doing this yourself. I've tried installing it and the app shows up in my Squeezebox (Radio), but while it lists the artists I have in my Cloudplayer, when I try to navigate past that it shows up empty. (It also offers me the choice to sort by album, but all the entries are empty.) The same thing happens if I try to run it through the Web interface server on my desktop. I tried to clear out the cache but couldn't find the files, which may be the problem. Disclaimer: I'm not very good with Python and this is the first third-party app I've installed without going through the Web interface, so my guess would be that there is operator error involved somewhere. In any case, this isn't a request for help, though it's welcomed, but just a thank you for the work you put into this, since I am sure I'm not the only one who's benefited. kmcherry's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56864 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95937 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I'm running server version 7.6.1 on Windows XP. I'm finding that using iPeng seems to stop the server. I think it is when I go in to Music Folder on the iPeng to browse folders on the server that it does it. Is this a know problem? I'm using iPeng v1.5.3. How many files are in your root music folder? You might have some problem with certain files in the music folder. What happens when you browse by Music Folder is that the server tries to re-scan that folder. If it's being held up or slowed down while this happens it can either delay the response a lot (so that you might not even get a result on first try) or even crash the server. This is not iPeng related, though, it's generally how Browse Music Folder woks in Squeezebox Server, I would expect the same behavior if you browse there directly from the Squeezbox or the web interface. You could have a look at the server.log or scanner.log to get any clue about which file is affected. You can find the log file locations in the server's web interface under Settings-Information. 7.6.1 is a bit sensitive regarding control characters ( ASCII 32) in tags or filenames (control characters are NOT foreign characters, these should work fine). pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
