Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
Anyway, In regard to the Spotify "song not available in your country" issue, as a message is sent to SB (via a pop-up message), couldn't this be a way to have SmartMix trigger a "play-next" track? Are you running Triode's or the official Spotify plugin? I though Triode had a fix for this issue at some point. Please note that SmartMix is only acting when a "newsong" event or similar is signaled. If this doesn't happen, then the problem is not in SmartMix, but elsewhere. It might even be a bug in the LMS core code. Make sure you are running the latest of LMS and plugins. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Alternative Web Interface (beta)
If I change Settings\Interface\Thumbnail Size to 200, will that : 1. reduce the artwork.db size ? (as the 100 size artwork will not be needed) If 200 was already registered, then yes, that would save the 100px images. 2. adversely affect the gui as artwork will now be bigger ? Less visible items per page. Probably slightly slower loading, as more data needs to pass the pipe. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Just done a full Windows reinstall... The Triode Spotify plugin is now refusing to let me log in with my premium user and pass. Tried resetting all LMS settings to defaults... Reinstalled the plugin... I saw this question regarding Squeezeplay awhile back and there was a new release that fixed the problem there. Is there one for LocalPlayer too? Squeezeplay works fine, but LocalPlayer outputs no sound. Debugs all look good; connecting to stream and proper output device is selected. I've had a smart mix on today for about 11 hours straight. Started with an artist mix and using my own music only, I've had no repeats and a mix of about 30 or so artists. (do note that if you keep hitting next very quickly to see what happens next, it may only play the same few songs as it hasn't had a chance to add the new ones. I made this mistake when I first installed because I was curious about the mix it created and saw the same outcome as youso you have to let it play (although you can skip a song, etc. with no problem). After you installed smartmix plugin it should have done a scan. You see it as part of the LMS scan (a new line called "profile export"). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
I've been trying to get this to function properly, but I'm not sure what the function should be. When I create a mix based on current title, smart mix gives me maybe 10 various songs, but then it begins to repeat tracks. I've checked off "don't stop the music" but the result is the same. Is this how smart mix is supposed to function? Or is the smart playlist meant to be longer or (relatively)infinite? Also, I see references to a scan on some of the posts here, and to recognition by The Echo Nest. Is the scan a normal LMS scan or something else? Very minor bug fix release posted. The only change in this version is to fix a problem storing preferences which could mean that the "volume normalisation" and "show in my apps" settings get reset to the default of on when the server is restarted. Otherwise no changes, the helper app remains at version 2.2.12 Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

This is a network or firewall problem as the "player did not connect within timeout" message shows that a connection has not been received. The "error writing" message is a consequence of this rather than a cause. I would check all firewall and network settings and try something like telnetting to port 9100 from a remote machine to see if the connection is received and creates a connection in the helper app log. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Alternative Web Interface (beta)
Rolly, Artwork.db blew out to 1.1GB after a few days use and threatened to fill the RAMdisk allocated to CACHE (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?93854-Improving-performance-for-quot-New-Music-quot-function/page14) so I un-installed extGUI4LMS, deleted artwork.db and library.db and did a clear & rescan. After reading https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/commit/3acdf53e46f6c01d97087690c025f62265d19166 I waited until some comment appeared but when no-one posted anything I downloaded and installed 7.8.0 - 1371658931 @ Thu Jun 20 on my test box, started LMS and installed the extGUI4LMS plugin. Accessing the extGUI4LMS kicked off an Artwork scan that took 10 minutes for 10,006 covers and blew Artwork.db to 644,720KB from 241,088KB. After a day of use artwork.db has grown to 685,878KB. It appears that the change to stick with jpg has curbed the excessive growth of the artwork.db . If I change Settings\Interface\Thumbnail Size to 200, will that : 1. reduce the artwork.db size ? (as the 100 size artwork will not be needed) 2. adversely affect the gui as artwork will now be bigger ? A camel is a racehorse designed by a committee.
