Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
I am trying to figure out how the Artist picture lookup works. From this post http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?99537-Announce-Music-amp-Artist-Information-plugin&p=761551&viewfull=1#post761551 it says mherger wrote: > > ... Therefore the full list of artists is processed each time you run > a scan. If you have a local folder with artist pictures, this should > speed up things considerably, as the scanner will check this first, > before going online.Michael This implies that in the plugin's settings if all 3 boxes are ticked and a folder specified, then if I put an "artist picture.jpg" in the folder and the "artist picture" is exactly the same as the Artist then this picture will be used in the browse by artist (and the scan for artist pictures should be quick as there is no online lookup). This doesn't always work. One of my problems is accented characters - for instance for artist Béla Fleck the plugin has stored "Béla Fleck.jpg" in my designated Artist Pictures folder. For artist Bartók, B the picture "Bartók, B.jpg" is ignored and Man With Trumpet is displayed My system is Win 7/64, local disks . I obviously need some setting for the (very) occasional accented characters. Help please. A camel is a racehorse designed by a committee. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] UK BBC radio access with LMS 7.7.3
Mysb.com is recognised and BBC plugin is now working. I deleted the Logitech preferencepanes, and reinstalled the 7.8.0 pkg. I gave it 2 hours to be recognised. I just tried the Radio in the LMS web server, and all the default radio apps are present. I checked the Settings/Plugin and no problem notices evident. I checked the BBC plugin which is now available, and restarted LMS. On restarting I could then navigate to BBC radio listen again and live. This is not only BBC then . When it works and you set your mysqueezebox.com log in and press apply in LMS nothing obvius happens , but younhave the complete app menu etc . You should not to change your password if it works directly at mysqueezebox.com , in fact it could be more confusing if have several accounts as players only associate with one account . I tried verifying the password for mysb.com and I got a popup (see attachment). I changed the password, and tried again, still no joy. You can see that I am logged in, and the screenshot shows a popup - Invalid SqueezeNetwork username or password. I wonder if the problem is that the LMS mac box requires an email, and the pop up refers to a username. My name for the mysb.com account page is Patricia. How would you suggest I go ahead?
