Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: ShairTunes Plugin
I did a little bit of digging yesterday. All search indicated that the problem is with IO::Socket::INET6. I made a seach on how to test it and found this little script for testing : http://blog.kramse.org/blojsom/blog/default/Tools/Perl-IPv6-sockets-grmpf?smm=y 16388 When running the script it seems that the call goes OK, but for some reason the call to PeerPort() and PeerAddr() does not return anything. This also seems to be the reson for the plugin not to work -> Expected port number from decoder. That is how much I can find out/check. Can anybody else help with this issue ? +---+ |Filename: test-ipv6.pl | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=16388| +---+ MacMini running LMS 7.7.3. My thinking was that GHarris mentioned that he had some 900 different artists with composer.html and bio.html files, so he could use the Local Artwork function to display these files. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
I have a problem with artist picture of Antonín Dvořák. The picture You wouldn't believe how often Dvorak has cropped up in these forums causing problem. I think I know more problems caused by his name than I've listened to his music :-). Are you on Windows? What LMS version? If I delete picture from the artist picture folder and exceute clear and rescan --> plugin will download artist picture and place it in to folder and shows it correctly. But only until I execute clear and rescan again. Hmm... that's interesting: if the plugin didn't find it at all, it would re-download it. It must be finding it at some point, but not at some different stage. I too have classical artists that never appear to be able to get an artist picture. Michael, one fix and one enhancement requested. Fix - display artist picture for artists with special characters in their name. Enhancement - add display local artwork html files, then my scheme detailed in the my previous post would work for Gordon's bio.html files. A camel is a racehorse designed by a committee. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
Gordon, You could use the Local Artwork feature to display your artist biography in a similar way to how I have set up booklets from a few box sets. For instance, the Emmylou Harris Songbird 4cd box set has a 200 page booklet with a page or so for each track. After scanning, I created a directory called Songbird Booklet that is listed in explorer next to Songbird Disc 1, Songbird Disc 2 etc. The Songbird Booklet contains all the scans from the booklet and a flac file of 5 seconds of silence. The flac file is tagged Artist - Emmylou Harris, Album - Songbird Booklet, Title - A Booklet (Silence). Then, browsing or searching by album will bring up an album called Songbird Booklet (along with the other Songbird discs), clicking the album brings up a single track called 1. A Booklet and then clicking the M button next to either the Album or the track will display the Local Artwork option and then the booklet. Reading this sounds like a lot of clicks, but it isn't as clumsy as it reads, and the booklets are available on my Nexus 7 and 10 tablets in OrangeSqueeze as well as from the LMS web GUI. For your classical composers, you could create a bio sub directory under the Artist, include your Artist.jpg picture and bio.jpg. To get LMS to scan it you then need the dummy (silence) flac file tagged appropriately. A camel is a racehorse designed by a committee. That should be fine I guess. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
I have a problem with artist picture of Antonín Dvořák. The picture does not show even when it located in my artist picture folder. All other artist pictures are shown correctly, only Dvořák's picture is problem. If I delete picture from the artist picture folder and exceute clear and rescan --> plugin will download artist picture and place it in to folder and shows it correctly. But only until I execute clear and rescan again. After that picture will not show any more (even when it is still located in the artist picture folder). Note: If I use Antonín Dvorak (as artist tag) instead of Antonín Dvořák then the picture will show correctly so this is clearly releated to special characters ř and/or á. auster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43850 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
@CommanderROR: I think compiling the newest version at the moment when clicking "Update Squeezelite"-Button would be the easiest way. I would now use the compiler options as explained (https://code.google.com/p/squeezelite/wiki/BuildInstructions): Code: -DFFMPEG -DRESAMPLE -DVISEXPORT Just tested it and it works fine - If this is OK for you just give me a short message and I "upgrade" the update-button to a get the latest version from github and compile it. 2 x Max2Play on ODROID U2/U3 with LMS, Squeezelite, Shairport, XBMC 1 x Squeezebox Receiver 1 x Denon 1713 AVR + Nubert 5.1 System iPeng Max2Play-Image for ODROID: http://shop.max2play.com/de/image-max2play flysurfer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I think it just an indication that the BBC are having / have been having some problems - as ever they seem to be playing arround with the way that the iplayer works. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Thanks for the positive feedback! This means a lot to me and I'm happy to hear that almost everything works as expected. Squeezelite and FFMPEG: I did not compile it myself and just took the information from the website saying: "Build options: LINUX ALSA EVENTFD RESAMPLE FFMPEG VISEXPORT DSD" for the binaries. So maybe I'll ask the creator of squeezelite to add this functionality to the build binaries. > Squeezelite is not starting after a reboot automatically. But it starts > when you click "start Squeezelite" from WebUI (sometimes it needs a few > times) Does it maybe need a delay or something? I found that it needs this delay (max. 2 minutes after start) when starting shairport and squeezelite on Ubuntu 13.10. Maybe it's not needed anymore - I'll check this. If autostart is enabled squeezelite always restarts automatically. This is a feature, because if XBMC is closed you want squeezelite to restart. > --When I check audioplayer.conf, I see 2 -o parameters, is this normal? This is not really a bug, because the second parameter overwrites the first when starting squeezelite. The first output device is default, if you don't overwrite settings with the command-line option. 2 x Max2Play on ODROID U2/U3 with LMS, Squeezelite, Shairport, XBMC 1 x Squeezebox Receiver 1 x Denon 1713 AVR + Nubert 5.1 System iPeng Max2Play-Image for ODROID: http://shop.max2play.com/de/image-max2play flysurfer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=61064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Is there anything in the localplayer.log? It might just be worth selecting one of the devices in the drop down list on the local player settings page to see if that helps, but if, as you say, the same version runs manually (presumably as your own user) it should run as squeezeboxserver. I can't think of anything that would have this effect. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi running Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. Wired Touch + EDO, coax to Musical Fidelity M1 CLiC. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
I've been using v 1.11 with USB-DAC+HDMI (Squeezelite and XBMC always running) configuration for 3 days now. I have also upgraded to XBMC 13.2 final release from Odroid forum, it went smooth and easy. I must say it's very stable and powerful. Thanks flysurfer for this complete package. My only complain can be lack of WMA support even with latest squeezelite upgrade from WEB-UI. mkkyah's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58652 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
