Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster with Touch: Emitter problems

2015-01-12 Thread fcm4711

Hi cncb

Nothing obviously wrong stands out, but the timing might be slightly off
and since the supplied slim.conf file works I suggest the following:

Have you tried to replace the 'header', 'one', 'zero', 'ptrail',
'repeat' and 'gap' values in your files with the ones from the supplied
slim.conf file?

The other thing you could try separately or together with the above
modifications is to add a minimal repeat. Some devices require the code
to be sent more than once to act upon it:

min_repeat 2 (or 3)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)

2015-01-12 Thread flysurfer

@doctor_big: Currently I am working on an Image for the C1 from
Hardkernel and the Raspberry PI as a lot people are interested in this
versions. There is of course the possibility to get Max2Play running on
the XU3, but you won't have XBMC with full hardware support (still a
problem, it think) and the device itsself is quite expansive for the
current use cases (audio player, lms, ...) compared to the U3. As I
currently do not own a XU3, it's not possible for me to create an image
now. If you want, you can install the webfrontend by yourself via github
sources - but be aware that a lot of scripts won't work without editing
configfiles in /etc, installing a lot of packages and modifying access
rights to files.

You could use iPeng Party and a 7.9 separate library with a Radio but it
wouldn't stop them physically accessing the Radio and swapping to your
library.
The Pi is more secure but not 100% so as they could with knowledge
access the LMS web interface and change things there albeit you could pw
protect the settings.

You can hide home menu items on a radio
Press and hold on an item - you get the Hide from Home Menu option like
on Squeezeplay
Not sure how you would restore Settings though without a factory reset?

incoming connections from players on the helper app port defined above,
however I don't think it's something related to the firewall. I tried
different ports, e.g. 9050, 5 etc. with no success.

Yes - started with mp3, then added pcm and finally flc.

It fails to play any LMS live streams with the same buffering behaviour.

Music mp3 streams also fail to play although they appear to be playing
on the squeezeplay interface.

Unlike the Reciva radio interface which displays connecting and playing
information. the upnp menu option on this radio just displays a local
upnp server name and no interactive information.

The radio is a very obscure 'Chinese' device called Easy Home Universal
Radio. It used to connect to a database which has long closed down.

Ok - I think that, for some strange reason, it thinks that the URL I'm
passing to get it to query sq2u for the cached audio steam is invalid.
It can be anything like it does not like capitalized letters, or a
number just after a / - I'm guessing at that point. We can try to make
that work, but this will be trial and error game here, so it depends how
badly you want to try

I've just released a new version of TrackStat which should hopefully fix
the issue with rating from iPeng, thanks for the reminder.

I have finally worked out how to set trackstat ratings by CLI but the
players don't recognise the changes until the next change of track.

Is there a CLI command I can send to force an update?

How do you view the ratings ?
Is it through Music Information Screen and title formats on a Classic,
Boom, Transporter display ?
Is it through a third party smart phone app ?
Is it through Custom Clock applet on a Touch, Radio ?

I'm asking since the intention is that they should be updated
immediately so to verify this scenario that isn't working it would help
to know exactly how your setup looks like.

Give them a Raspberry Pi based player - no user interface - and a copy
of iPeng Party on an iThingy to control it.
iPeng Party is a free cut down version of iPeng for a similar purpose.

LMS 7.9 would additionally give you the option to present them with
their own music only - and you'd live without it, too :-).
