Maybe in a later version or if more people ask for this kind of feature. Cheers, Stefan Thanks for considering adding this Flysurfer. Before using the Odroid I was running LMS and Squeezelite off of a Raspberry Pi. This worked but there was a considerable amount of lag when changing the music. With the Odroid this is a thing of the past. I think that this is where the Odroid sets itself apart from all other options out there. With other mini-computers, like the Pi, there would be a need to purchase multiple Pi's to accommodate multiple listening areas whereas the Odroid can serve as the sole music server with a multiple room solution. gv200's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62942 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101856 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

michi wrote: Okay thats what i thought. As i said thats the not important part. What about the playlist syncing? Is that something you would consinder? Maybe. While I think that it is an interesting idea and probably feasible, the processor load required to constantly scan and synchronize the playlist could significantly impact the performance of the main app especially if the playlist is long. Anyway this is not anything that I would consider adding in the near future. In the mean time, since LMS saved playlists are just regular m3u files, there are probably other applications that can read and sync the playlist with the phone or tablet. -- Squeezebox apps for webOS, Android and Windows Phone, http://www.angrygoatapps.com wt0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
Raspberry Pi (version one, model B) with Max2play / squeezeplug (LMS 7.8) installed. Connected by Cat5 to my ADSL router. 80GB of FLAC music files held on a Synology NAS and read by Pi using NFS. Squeezeplug came with ffmpeg and Lame preinstalled so all I needed to do to connect to the new streams was install BPA's HLS plugin and the new menu.opml file. BBC iPlayer live streams started OK, but quickly developed symptoms of 5 seconds of sound followed by 10 seconds of buffering. If I then rebooted the Pi and started one radio stream it would stutter a bit to begin with but then play with only the occasional glitch as long as I wanted. If I stopped it and started another stream it would get worse. After three or four changes of station the buffering would be about every 5 - 10 seconds. After a couple of abortive attempts to install the sigpipe.patch file I eventually got it to work using Ralphy's instructions above. Rebooted the Pi and after that I could switch stations with no deterioration in the buffering. After some further experimentation I found that increasing the radio station buffer to 30 seconds under the LMS settings page (advanced networking) removed all further stuttering and buffering and it now plays fine. Now waiting for the proverbial S to hit the F when the BBC get round to screwing up the play-it-again section of iPlayer, which works very well at the moment. Thanks. The reason I asked the question was that I was uncertain whether the Raspberry Pi 2 need a different version compared with other types of Raspberry PI. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Shuffle and Random lock
Has anyone come up with a method of disabling random and shuffle modes, on the SBT, or at the server end. We have a teenager in the house that listens to everything she has on shuffle, whereas the humans don't use this facility, so don't expect it to be on, which makes some albums a bit confusing, to say the least. Ideally we'd like to just stop these facilities from being selected, ever! jemhayward's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=55065 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103255 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
