Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: YouTube Plugin
I just realized, that even with the new changes I can't play YouTube anymore. I get the error message http:/youtube.com/devicesupport. On this page YouTube informs about a change of the API on April 20th. Hence we need again support from someone who's able to implement the new API support. Anybody out there? First, have you tried "yes" on the option "Player handles next track" ? [details]: some players have a gapless feature where there are capable of memorizing 2 URI to play: the current and next. They automatically move to the next one when the have finished playing the current, and then current becomes next. It is up to the controler to keep feeding the next URI when it detects the change. My app works like that: - the app monitors the current URI of the player every 0.5 second and when it detects the change, it sends next URI information, according to what LMS has requested - and so on (hence no audio gap, normally) - for players that are not capable of storing a next URI, the app waits to detect that playback of current URI has stopped and then it sends a "nudge" to the player, sending a new current URI (hence the audio gap) Now, all these details appart, what happens with your player is that there is (toward then end) a track change (with a strange URI) detected although I've never sent any "next URI" information (you have disabled it). As a result, the app is confused. Giza, interesting. I took your advice and switched off Upnp in plugins. Not entirely sure why it was there in the first place. [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.8.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
Hello all, Just created a repository for Logitech Media Server on Synology nas. I repacked the latest official version of LMS provided by Synology. So updated the package from 7.7.3 to 7.8.0. Most architectures are supported. Just add the repo to your Package Center in DSM 5.0 or higher. MAKE SURE BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW PACKAGE TO REMOVE ANY VERSION OF LMS ON YOUR NAS, Name: LMS Repack Location: http://lms-repack.pinkdot.nl/ This repo is to test if the procedure of repacking the spk will work. It is already tested on several machines but more info is needd and very welcome. Thanks for testing! The Duet Controller uses the same codebase as the Touch and Radio being an ARM based system, and hence I speculate it can play AAC natively ie. no transcoding required so it doesn't run faad. Normally a player tells a list of its capability in a format of channel, samples size and sample rate. and then I try to match with the stream info provided by LMS when I receive a play request. This is only the case for PCM as the format is not self-descriptive. But some players do not report the sample_rate in the capabilities, so I cannot find an exact match. I choose a while ago to try and see, but the result is that the player does not know really the sample rate of the stream so it will play anyway but potentially at the wrong rate, hence the pitch factor. You can reproduce that with xbmc easily LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: squeeze2upnp, a bridge between LMS and uPNP devices
I think it get's progressively further and further behind the live stream - the pips sounded lower and longer than they should have been - very strange. I think it's a config problem at my end so don't worry about it. I'll sort it out when I have more time. ian_heys's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2629 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102496 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Question for Tim When I use Triode's Alpha 3 iPlayer plugin on sq2upnp it plays slowly. It doesn't happen on standard internet radio streams. simonk wrote: > fresh log attached > > Thanks A bit more information that may help. Looking at the LMS webpage when the songs are playing as the first song gets towards the last few seconds of playing the track(the actual timing bar has already been at the end for quite some time) it changes to show the next track and the bar moves along to about 5 seconds and then as the first song finishes and then changes to the third track and starts playing. Hopefully the above makes some sense and may help :-) simonk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46699 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102496 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
Just had a bit of disk issue on my HP MediaSmart and have almost put it back together but having a slight issue with SDT. Added back my Wunderground API key and location but was getting weather from somewhere much more tropical (Florida) despite my location being the very un-tropical UK. I restarted the Squeezebox server service and now I get no data. The plugin is great, I've got my new wireless Rocki devices working using it. The only problem I seem to have is that it plays the first track, then moves onto the second but then within seconds it jumps straight to the third, as so on missing every other track. I've attached the log file during the playing of first to third track and screen shot of plugin settings. And help gratefully appreciated. Brilliant Philippe, Windows7/LMS 7.9.0 working perfectly. Worked "Out of the box" with no problems whatsoever. I think this approach will gain a much wider acceptance. Will have to think about device configuration in my house now. No longer a need to connect a micro PC to the back of my Revo. A small note, it would probably help new users to get started if they understood that "generating" a config file should be the first thing they do as their device may work well without but much more likely to need some tweaking to get it to perform properly. Time limited for the next week or so but will give it a try on my alternate systems when I get some time.
