Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
This is a pre-release or Beta release of the Weather.com version of SDT that contains the fix for College Football scores. It also improves handling of finished NFL games that went into overtime. The JSON file I'm pulling data from always contains all games from all conferences, so there is no need to select a conference on the advanced settings page. You need to make sure the teams you want to track have their names entered exactly as they appear on the NCAA scores page at "http://www.ncaa.com/scoreboard/football/fbs;. As before you can enter "All" and it will display scores from all games. Just beware that can be excessive on most Saturdays as there are usually about 70 games. I have not been able to test it on active games, so it may require some tweaks after this next weekend's set of games. If you're willing to try it out I'd appreciate any feedback on how it works for you. +---+ |Filename: SuperDateTime5-9-28B.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=18817| +---+ BoomX2's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33529 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
I'm running LMS on Odroid U3, so it's a Debian/ARM version. I can try modifying the code. But the stuttering happens only on Squeezebox Classic/Radio hardware, not my Raspberry Pi players. I would have thought that you'd have to modify the Firmware to change that. But I'll see what I can do when I get back from work. Anything special I need to know or need to keep an eye on? @flysurfer Problem solved I downloaded version 2.12 from your website and updated it to 2.20 and now it worked! Before I had started with version 2.00 that I had updated to 2.20 - something must have been missing in that version and it was not updated during 2.20 update. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Whatever it does, it seems to be working. 24/192 streaming still kills the Radio, but 24/96 did not give me any stutters or rebuffering issues during a test with several consecutive tracks, some skipping etc. Only thing I noticed: Controlling things directly on the Radio makes it go slightly unstable. Not sure why that is, but as long as I control it from the app everything is fine. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
I had to change the bitrate display because I only know what bitrate is being used once I got the http headers of the stream. Before that I only whether it's flac or mp3. Previously I would simply show some static number. Now it's really calculating file size devided by seconds. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
@Michael Concerning my earlier question about filtering out non-playable tracks/albums: This seems to be working more or less now. Playlists don't seem to stop anymore when they hit an unplayable track, but those tracks still get displayed, then vanish once the PL hits that track and skips them. Not a big issue since it now skips them, but can be a bit confusing... ;) New Bitrate display is interesting. It shows a different bitrate for every file, even if they are all lossless, so I guess it reads the "real" bitrate somehwere in the stream metadata? Pretty cool anyway! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
CPU on my Server is fine, less than 1% load. I think I found a fix though... I changed the value here: "use constant RETRY_TIME => 0.10;" (was at 0.4) and now it SEEMS to be working fine with 24/96 streams. I set the other value (*16) back to it's original value since it did not help. Will keep testing and report back if I run into any more stuttering/buffering. Would be nice if someone else could check this out to see if it holds up to closer inspection. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Thanks! It was in "perl5" subfolder. Sadly it doesn't seem to help with the Squeezebox Radio classic. It buffers and/or stutters quite badly at 24/96 and can barely cope with 24/88. Not sure whether it's the CPU running out of steam or the network buffers. I'd guess it's buffer related. It almost seems like the Radio preloads a chunk that is too small and then can't keep up with refilling it's buffer. Your little server will need to transcode that hires stream for the Radio. Makes totally no sense as you could as well just stream CD quality FLAC.
