Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Jivelite VU and Spectrum Analyser displays
I don't know if it is a solution or a work-around, but if you let squeezelite control volume via alsa it is working as I think it should be working. So try to use Code: -V Digital in the various input on the "squeezelite" web-page in piCorePlayer. Then you change the volume output via alsa, and you can turn it all the way down to silence and still have VU-Meter working. The variable "Digital" needs to match the correct alsa control name (Digital is for a IQaudIO+ DAC). You will need to start alsamixer and find the correct name to use for your system. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
Has anyone succeeded in getting this (or the UPnPBridge plugin) to run on a Mac? I have tried on two pretty different setups without success. I can try running only the upnp helper on a separate Linux machine but wonder whether I'm just missing something. The problem is that I get an error (283) when the plugin tries to start UPnP. The multicast port can't be opened, I assume that's for the discovery. I first thought there might have been a conflict with some other server also using it but I tried a clean setup and still no luck. I wonder wether there is some incompatible SOCKOPTS setting that doesn't work on BSD, BSD is always a bit tricky here and strictly speaking has no port sharing. That's why you usually have to use both active and passive UPnP discovery there. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104614 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

He has reported it is better quality and much more stable :) *Vortexbox LMS 7.8 music on QNAP TS419p via NFS* iThingys/iPeng/Tablets *Living Room* - SB3 -> Onkyo TS606 - > Celestion Ditton F20s - Zone 2 -> Sony TA FE 320 -> Sennheiser RS 130 & B P7 *Office* - RPi -> Sony TA FE320 -> Celestion F10s / SB3 -> Onkyo CRN 755 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes *Dining Room* -> SB Boom *Kitchen* -> UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio) *Bedroom (Bedside)* - SB Touch -> Topping TP21 -> AKG Headphones *Bedroom (TV)* - Amazon Fire TV (SB Player) -> Topping TP20 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes d6jg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44051 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
