Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Just use the official Spotify app from mysqueezebox.com. It uses the new web API. The official Spotify app doesn't support my "old" players at home (Squeezebox, Squeezebox Boom, ...). I meant to say: use the official app for the navigation. Triode's will take care of the streaming. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I guess because of the "End-Of-Life" of the metadata api from spotify, the spotify plugin from triode will not work anymore now. See here: https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/metadata-api/ Triode's plugin is not using the metadata API, but libspotify (equally eoled...). This is very sad. Is anyone out there who might fix this (migrate to the web api)? Just use the official Spotify app from mysqueezebox.com. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
The plugin is not really a plugin. All it does is create a directory with a custom-type.conf and custom-convert.conf files to run ffmpeg when a URL with MIME type "application/vnd.apple.mpegurl" or "application/x-mpegurl". The trouble is that LMS seems to ignore the MIME if there is a suffix which is m3u8. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
I think I have a problem with this plugin interfering with non-streaming m3u8 playlists. The main problem probably is that the plugin would assume that any m3u8 playlist is HLS. Maybe the plugin's use could be limited to assume this only if the m3u8 file has been loaded from a remote source? Or it would fall back to default m3u parsing if the URL started with anything but http? -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayHLS Plugin - plugin to play Apple HLS m3u8 stream
I think I have a problem with this plugin interfering with non-streaming m3u8 playlists. I dragged and dropped an m3u8 playlist containing standard playlist entries for local files, and this plugin got into the act and caused the error below. I'm not sure what LMS should do with such playlists, but they certainly aren't HLS streams. The reason I was trying this is because m3u playlists for local files where the file names are in UTF-8 (including European accents) should really have extension m3u8, and this is required by other music servers.
