Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test
OK, was using the previous versions with not too many issues (ref Sticky: BBCiPlayer Plugins - an alternative quick fix guide), but couldn't get listen again on the iPlayer to work. iPlayer Extras worked ok so any listen again needs were catered for, left it alone. Now tried using V1.5.2 & V1.9.5 per this thread and have an odd phenomenon. Listen again on iPlayer V1.5.2 won't start any streams from 6 Music  I've tried listen again on every other BBC station - works fine! Gone back to 6 Music - won't play anything (silences any previously playing music but just hangs at 0:00 and never starts). Live streams are fine. 6 Music and R4 are my general go-to stations and iPlayer Extras v1.9.5 still works for 6 music listen again so I can still get round the issue as before. Listen again streams at 128kbps CBR AAC on V1.9.5 / CBR AAC LC on V1.5.2. Live streams at 339kbps CBR AAC LC. I'm using a Vortexbox Linux setup in the UK. My players are two SB Touches, the VB Player direct from the VB server laptop and a couple of Android players. I haven't messed about with your iPlayer plugins' settings. Given that it's working on every other station but 6 Music it isn't feeling like a settings issue. One comment on the new Iplayer Extras V1.9.5 which now has around a ten to 15 second delay and resets the time position a few times before starting a program (or if you fast forward or rewind to a new position). Works well so only a comment. properjob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42088 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Using plugin to get Internet radio track data from web site
Yes - am caching the meta data from the station (15 seconds but might extend it because of this) and also what I think the client already thinks is playing so that I don't push it too often. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Using plugin to get Internet radio track data from web site
One thing though - I use registerProvider and my provider routing is called once a second when the player is an SB2. Is this expected behaviour? Not 100% sure, but yes, probably expected behaviour. The SB2 is stupid, and LMS is feeding its display. Very well possible that some code is polling the plugin whenever the server is preparing a display update. Make sure you cache data in memory to reduce the load. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Using plugin to get Internet radio track data from web site
I've got things working when there is more than one player that is playing the same station by not synced in LMS. One thing though - I use registerProvider and my provider routing is called once a second when the player is an SB2. Is this expected behaviour? (For my Squeezelite devices it is much less frequent and is, broadly, in line with my timers expiring) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Paul Webster http://dabdig.blogspot.com Paul Webster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106810 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: squeeze2upnp, a bridge between LMS and uPNP devices
I didn't try the pacing_size trick, I'm sorry. You mentioned that the other http modes are preferred and since I bought the player to be used as a DLNA player, I decided to send it back. It looked to me like it would have been a work-around in some way anyway. I've just got round to running a test - I've attached the server.log, upnpbridge.log and spotifyd.log. To describe what happened as a user/listening experience: [07:57] I hit play on the LMS web interface (I still had a playlist of Spotify tracks loaded) and the receiver started playing the track no problem. [08:04] The first track ends and play continues gapless onto the second track. The receiver and LMS web interface still show the first track's name and the track progress counter on the web interface is frozen at the end of the track. [08:07] The second track ends but instead of the third track starting, the second track plays again from the beginning. There's no gap - it sounds as though the same track has been added to the playlist twice. The progress counter on the web interface is still frozen at the end of the first track. [08:08] I hit pause on LMS web interface. +---+ |Filename: upnpbridge.log | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21991| +---+ smilerish's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62894 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
