ReadyNAS is Debian based. Check with the ReadyNAS community how to
install libio-socket-ssl-perl. It's likely something like "sudo apt-get
install libio-socket-ssl-perl"

Forgot to mention that, this is on the LMS 7.9 stable release.
While viewing an album, the Composer tag info (when there is any) is
showing instead of Artist for compilations as well as single-artist
albums, etc. If it's a bug I guess I'll look at a 7.9.1 build next. I
thought it was strange though, because I don't see that on my Android
devices or through the Web UI. That's what made me think there was a
setting I missed somewhere.

> In any case should the composer be shown if that's what you browse by
You mean if I go through Composers to look for albums?
Just to clarify, that's not what I did. I browsed by New Music,
Compilations, and Random Albums and get the behavior I mentioned.

Any other suggestions/tips?

Thanks!

I would like to use Spotty but it get this error:

"Spotty requires the Perl module IO::Socket::SSL. You can NOT use Spotty
without this module. Please use your operating system's package manager
to install it."

So does this mean that my trusty old ReadyNAS Pro running their OS 6
firmware is doomed for Spotty?

Which LMS version is this. I think there's an issue with Compilations
showing random artists or artist roles, it's a problem of the API.
I don't remember whether this is fixed in 7.9.1 or not.
In any case should the composer be shown if that's what you browse by

This is very old, but it may help you.
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Multi_Library_plugin

Once installed you should see "multi library" under the 'extras' menu
item and go from there.

44.1->192kbps.  Touch & EDO. 2nd Touch standard.

Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers.
Alternatively Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC
renderers.
Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Official Spotify plugin / Spotify Protocol Handler suddenly no longer working

2017-07-07 Thread Diana

mherger wrote:

I found I had time to do this today. In fact I also disabled a load of
'default' plugins I never use. But it made no difference - the Web UI
remained impossibly slow, and, for example, failed to load
Spotty>Playlists at all.

So, I thought I'd try the Classic interface instead of the Default
interface. The Classic interface works perfectly (including MusicIP
mixes! ;) ), pages load normally, and I can access and play from
Spotty's menu items.

So the problem is clearly with the default interface - but fixing that
is not something I know how to do. However, as I rarely use the web UI,
and can do everything I'd ever need to via the Classic interface, I'll
stick with that. Actually, it all feels very familiar - just like old
times! ;)

Best regards, and thanks for your help.

(PS I continue to find Spotty just brilliant.)

mDNS uses 5353/UDP (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multicast_DNS). I
guess that's what spotty is using (but don't know, really).

As I said yesterday evening don't worry about it on my account Michael.

I have been meaning to move my production server to a Pi with NFS mount
to NAS for some time so that's what I did last night and all works as
you would expect.
I am keeping the Vortexbox based PC online for ripping purposes (direct
to the NAS via NFS) but LMS is switched off on it.
I can however easily switch it back on if you want testing done for this
CPU.

Thanks as always
