Yes, I tried port 5 and it did not work
I use port 9 when I WOL from my MacBook Air (forgot that I have that in

I'm away from my server now, but when I return I'll try with port 9 and
let you know if it works

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2017-07-15 Thread pippin

Maybe your Mac doesn’t accept WOL packets over port 3483.
In theory it shouldn’t matter but Macs have always been temperamental
with WOL.
Have you tried the port that other app uses?

I think the most common port for WOL is 6 or 9 (always mix that up),
iPeng uses 3483 because that theoretically needs to be open for
Squeezeboxes to work correctly with LMS

One thing I have noticed since installing this is that, instead of
simply playing at 320k, the LMS Web UI states the following for a song

705kbps CBR, Ogg Vorbis (Spotify) (Converted to FLAC)

It works fine, and this is my home network, so no worries. Just curious

See the message above, my reply to lggpstm. In Daphile for some reason
you have to do it in reverse order with a reboot after each step.. Put
it back the way it was with the Spotify plugin working and them follow
this:

I did it in reverse order from you. I added Spotty>Reboot>Remove Spotify
and Spotify Protocol Handler>Reboot. Go to spotty settings and enter
your Spotify Login ID and Pwd.
Spotty then showed up in My Apps. I never removed the client from
mysqueezbox, but it not referenced anymore. I'm just going to get rid of
the whole myqueezebox account since all I was using for was Spoitfy

Not sure why this is so but it worked for me and lggpstm who was having
the same issue

When checking the Spotty plug-in, and clicking on Apply/Restart, you
should get a message along those lines : "LMS is restaring, wait a
minute blablabla".
Close the message. Now, on top of the plug-in list, you should see the
Spotty plugin and next to it a message warning you it needs to be
updated. So check it again, and click on Apply/Save.
Now, restart.
Return under the advanced settings, select Spotty and follow the
instructions (log in, basically).
Save and restart. It should now be displayed under your Apps.
You're now reday to get rid of the rest.
Are you using Daphile?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0

2017-07-15 Thread Michael Herger

It's a Intenso Micro SD HC Class 10 16 GB. I hope this helps.

With the latest updates the Albums appear much faster. I will do further
testing this evening. Thank you for all your work.

Hi Michael, this Thread is very noisy. I don't know if you did see my
answer relating to my SD Card in the Pi. It seemed to be better at
first, but I still got problems seeing my Spotify Albums. Is there a
better SD Card you can recommend?

I'm sorry I missed it. Yes, this thread is becoming lengthy :-).

I can't really recommend, as I haven't had poor experience so far. I
can't even tell you what I'm using right now, as my main Pi is in the
office. But I think it's a Sandisk Ultra U1 16GB.

I use a pi3 for LMS duties, and pi2s for players, I like to separate the
tasks

N.B. Use a relatively large high speed sd card for the LMS server pi,
as that's where it builds its cache, alternatively you can direct that
to a USB drive

Excellent advise. I'm using a 16GB of the fastest kind (according to
marketing blurbs anyway...). Unless you want to store music locally more
than 32GB is unlikely to be required.

Yes, playlist, album and artist URIs can be used as well as track URIs
(obviously). There are a few examples a few hundred postings up this
thread :-). Basically

00:04:20:12:34:56 playlist play spotify:album:2EzAObs8SfM95nzBkkBusP

Or similar should work.

I still use Squeeze Commander, mainly because it supports setting of
ratings using Erland's Trackstat plugin.

Do any of the newer apps support this?

When I tried Orange Squeeze it didn't (or I couldn't work out how!) at

Hello, thanks for the reply.
I can't access to the stom cache.
I've created a new qobuz account and now it's working fine.
A possible upgrade could be the possibility to access and erase these
data in the cache directly from the plugin...
Anyway thanks for the support!

Two things I'm missing in squeeze commander:

- The "Album Artists" list is showing "All Artists" instead of only
  Album Artists.
- The library views are not working.

Some things I'm missing in Squeezer:

- I only see "All Artists". No "Album Artists", "Composer" or
  "Conducter".
- The library views are not working.
- There are no "Random Albums"
- Compilations are missing

Thank you Wills and d6jg for your excellent advice - which I intend to
follow!

I have been a Squeezebox enthusiast for many years and did go through a
phase with RPi (when it was first released) as an LMS server. Later I
bought a second-hand QNAP TS-220 and discovered that it came with LMS
7.7.2 installed. I therefore discarded the RPi and have been using the
QNAP as music store and LMS ever since. Everything has been working fine
until I received the dreaded message from Spotify telling me that they
are removing Squeezebox support.

Please can you recommend any web resources which would help me to
configure my new RPi system. (Will my original RPi be ok or do I have to
buy a new RPi3?)

Thank you again,

Malcolm

Squeezer and Squeeze Commander are not realy useable with LMS 7.9 or
higher. There are many things missing.

Orange Squeeze and Squeeze Ctrl are both useable. I prefer Orange
Squeeze because it's responding much faster and the design is much
nicer. But if you want to use your Device only with mysqueezebox.com
(without the LMS), it turns out that Squeeze Ctrl is much more reliable.
