Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2017-09-14 Thread BoomX2

I have created a repository for the weather.com version of SDT. To use
the repository add the following to the "Additional Repositories" field
on the plugin tab of LMS server settings.

Code:

  http://sourceforge.net/projects/sdt-weather-com/files/repo.xml

You will also need to manually delete your previous SDT folder. After a
restart you should see the SDT weather.com version available for
installation. Selecting it will install version 5.9.38.

NOTE: There are no functional changes in 5.9.38 from 5.9.37.

Thanks to @tcutting for his guidance in setting up the repository.

So this is now getting really odd. From the last test in which your
program was simply downloading the raw coverart file and placing it in
the temp folder I had saved those. So I copied them over to where the
executable for the new program you made for me today is. I renamed the
file by clicking on it so it lets me change the name and renamed it
coverart.jpg. I picked a song and still no good. So next all I did was
open the file in paint and didn't alter a thing and just saved it again

work but it works every time. I tried with multiple files. So what

Feature :) iPhone, I assume.
If you swipe in the center of the screen, you scroll the central pages
view.
If you do an edge-swipe from the edge of the screen you do the normal
system-gesture for popping a view from a navigation controller stack so
iPeng will close the NowPlaying screen and return to the last menu you

That's not a plugin repository description, but the plugin's install
description.

Instead:

- Download 'the plugin as a zip'
- Unzip it to your LMS's plugin directory (see
  WebUI>Settings>Information for exact loacation)
- Restart

Alternatively, you can use an app (e.g. 'SSH button'
to quickly restart/shutdown LMS/the Pi

Not sure what you mean by live.

1.5.3 is the version which is stable.
1.5.4.5 - is the latest version which was testing Flac.

Since there are a few small bugs with 1.5.4.5 - I reckon 1.5.4.6 will
become stable (replacing 1.5.3) after I release it and it has been
tested for a few weeks.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] SrvrPowerCtrl on piCorePlayer

I have always found the gharris SrvrPowerCtrl plugin to be extremely
useful. However, it no longer appears as an option on the main plugin
screens and my attempts to link to various repositories has not led to
success at automatic installation. I have, in the past, managed to
install it manually, by painstaking trial and error, on a few LMS
installations but my latest attempts to get it on a new piCorePlayer
installation on a Raspberry Pi3 have been unsuccessful, often leading to
a complete snarl-up of LMS. Fortunately, SAMBA shares now allow a
retrieval of the situation by facilitating the deletion offending
files.

However, I see that SrvrPowerCtrl now appears as a forked link to the
Ralph Irving github repository. Is it possible to summon an automatic
install from there? Adding the following:

h**ps://github.com/ralph-irving/SrvrPowerCtrl/blob/master/install.xml

to the LMS plugin repository list gets me nowhere - not too
surprisingly!

If anyone can help with this I'd be most grateful. piCorePlayer has
developed so well in recent years that it is now the basis of many of my
Squeezebox Players, as well as my back-up and Roaming Squeezebox
servers. It would really be good to get SrvrPowerCtrl back on to all the
servers again.

Many thanks to the pCP team for their excellent work and, in advance,
for any help in resolving this.

Thanks. I'll test it when I get home. I saved a bunch of jpegs from
the last test. What is the best way to resize? Just open it up in
paint and adjust or do you think there is a better way?

There is a file in home sub directory .MusicMagic/log.txt.
I'm not sure that you'll have what's happening at startup.

Will you now also be able to look at repackaging the nightlies for

Totally off-topic. But as I mentioned in other related threads: I'm
currently struggling to get the existing builds working. Don't expect me
to add more soon...

Sometimes when I'm in Play View, swiping right will bring me to the
Lyrics (as expected), and sometimes it brings me to my Favorites
screen.

Is this a bug or a feature (or am I doing something wrong?)

@bpa

Apologies if you have answered this already in this or other threads but
which beta version will be the one that eventually gets promoted to
live? And what is the timescale (if known) or reasons for keeping
versions in beta for so long? Do people still run older production
versions?

Many thanks for keeping the iPlayer alive on my SBs!

Same on my side - but i found it works better if you add not your whole
lib just portions of it.

Extracted the fingerprints from my collections mp3 files (around 16K
files) last night.

It had previously stalled for me a couple of times or maybe I didn't let
it run long enough. The SFME reported being non responsive.

I hope the effort helps a little.

That is LMS plugin interaction as no audio chunks and some metadata are
available (unlike a file or a http/MP3 stream) when play is pressed.
When Play is pressed LMS starts the playtime display but plugin doesn't
know all the details of the stream (e.g. duration) until it has fetched
MPD etc. nor has any audio chunks been retrieved. Once MPD and few
audio chunks have been received and then sent to player the plugin
updates metadata etc (which is after play has been pressed) LMS then
updates all the displayed info.

No one deserves that. You can blame Paul Heaton, it was one of his
