Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.9.0 - now with experimental Spotify Connect support!

2017-12-01 Thread kezz

Now on Spotty 1.9.8, in the file types menu there still exists options
for FLAC, Lame and PCM and each drop down has two options
(Spotty/filetype and disabled)
still fails to produce any sound, but transport continues for actual
duration of track in web interface.

Web interface claims stats are: 705kbps CBR, Ogg Vorbis (Spotify)
(Converted to FLAC)

Any ideas? Thanks~

Which folder is now used for tmp-files during playback?
.../Cache/Spotty/

On Linux systems it can be expected to be the "spotty" sub-folder in
LMS' cache folder. Check Settings/Information for the Cache folder path.

In AVTransport schemas, is there a method SetNextAVTransport (in
addition to the SetAVTransport). If there is, send me a log so that I
can see if the gapless method is invoked

I just want to monitor the tmp-folder every now and then to make sure

I installed the new 1.9.8 release. everything worked as expected during
the update.

Playing with Spotify Connected worked without any issues.

But I can confirm the same behavior in transcoding, the 3 Spotty option
are all disabled.
-I'm not bothered by it, just want to inform if this was not planned.

Example: Playing track “Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band” followed
by “With a Little Help from My Friends”. When first track has ended
there is a short period (approx. 0.5s) of silence before next track
begins to play. The transition between these two tracks is supposed to
be seamless since there is no gap. Repeating this with VSX-1130s built
DLNA service (or playing from a USB stick) the transition between these
two tracks is seamless as expected. Note: Audio transcoding is disabled
in the DLNA-server (Synology NAS).

What information in DeviceSpy am I looking for? Found two entries for
VSX-1130, the second one seems to be about UPnP.

No. I wouldn't add transcoding options if I wanted to disable them
anyway. This would only happen if LMS didn't find lame or flac. Would
other transcodings to mp3 or flac be enabled?

Maybe you could enable debug logging for os.paths, then go to the File
Formats page again. This should log where it is looking for helpers and
what it finds.

I got this sorted now, needed to set the network configuration for the

thank-you Philippe, this plug-in is really great.

Couple of quick questions:

- Does this support FLAC playback natively or is it transcoded?
- Is gapless playback supported?
