The checkbox next to the following text in the spotty settings is *not* checked. "Don't announce Squeezebox players running in Spotify Connect mode in your network. Check this option if you don't want your Spotify Connect enabled Squeezebox player to show up in all Spotify apps in your network. " Anything else I should be looking at? Did you enable Connect mode for all those players? Spotify apps have an option to only show local players or similar. I've been using iPeng for a while now and love it, I have a few licenses scattered across multiple devices. One quirk I haven't been able to resolve though is that when I open iPeng on a device, if there is any local playback on the device (ie a podcast playing to headphones or an spotify being streamed to my LMS via airplay) then it will pause as soon as iPeng opens. This isn't ideal as I sometimes want to open iPeng to adjust volume in my various zones but, but if the playback is occuring locally on the same device then it stops as soon as i open ipeng. Is this behaviour configurable? I have purchased the optional iOS endpoint upgrade, but it's disabled on my devices unless I actually need it. The issue about 48k working and 44.1k not working is probably due to Alsa setup perhaps related to the input device chosen - if you wanted to investigate that is the route I would check. The plugin is "dumb" - how the device is told which rate to use is via ALSA, the device and the arecord parameters. Meanwhile I have loaded a number of booklets into my music library, all pdf's. The strange thing is that some get displayed and some not. I Did you create them all yourself? Where do you get them to displayed or not? What UI are you using? What platform/OS is your LMS running on? small ones which do not. I have had LMS rescan and rebuilt the library several times, but still always the very same booklets don't get displayed. No need to run a scan for those files. They're looked up whenever you select the option. I'm not clear what settings to check or change in order to see if I can get other devices (besides the device that is logged in to the same Spotify account as Spotty is logged into) to "see" the Spotify connect options. All devices are on the same WiFi subnet. I went through the settings menus and wasn't able to figure out what to try to change in order to get these other devices to "see" the same Spotify connect options as that one device. Any guidance welcome. Check the Spotty settings in LMS. There's an option to disable local discovery. That would be checked if it previously failed quickly and too often in order to prevent repeated restarts. Hi Wayne A couple of quick queries please. I am running Version 2.0.6 (which updated recently) on a Samsung S9+. I was interested to see the new pre-set function. However, only pre-sets 2-6 show and not pre-set 1. Any suggestions on this please? Also, I have the Auto Launch selected for SB Player when Squeeze Ctrl launches. I have also selected to Always auto close when Squeeze Ctrl closes but SB Player always seems to remain on and has to be closed manually. Any suggestions as how I can fix this minor niggle please? MichaelIt may not be Spotty interfering with my volume. I just played something using the group players plugin and after stopping playback all of the devices had the volume set to zero. Meanwhile I have loaded a number of booklets into my music library, all
pdf's. The strange thing is that some get displayed and some not. I
cannot find a reason for it. It is alway the same albums / booklets
which do not get displayed.
The booklets are all located in the corresponding album folders. All
these albums do provide the link "Textdateien in Musikordner" ("text
files in music folder") in the context menu. For those albums where
everything is ok, I click onto this link, the booklet file name appears
and with another click the booklet opens and gets displayed. But with
some albums the click onto "Textdateien in Musikordner" results in
indicating the word "leer" ("empty"), even though there is a booklet
file in the album folder! The link "Textdateien in Musikordner" actually
only appears for those albums which I populated with a booklet file! All
other "booklet-less" albums do not have that link in the context menu.
That is why I guess that LMS / Music Artist information plugin actually
does recognize there is a file that should get displayed even for those
albums where it does not work. Otherwise that link would not appear as
with all the other "booklet-less" albums.
I tried to figure out if perhaps some pdf's might be too big but this
does not apply: There are very large files which get displayed and very
small ones which do not. I have had LMS rescan and rebuilt the library
several times, but still always the very same booklets don't get
displayed.
Any idea what might be the reason? The pdf's per se are all ok, I can
open them with both Acrobat reader and Apple preview. Can it possibly be
the pdf version (https://www.prepressure.com/pdf/basics/version)? Or
would converting to PDF/A help?

I might have asked before... can you enable debug logging for Spotty while you reproduce this? I love having Spotty for my LMS setup and use it daily. One thing that I have never been able to get right is the song display when multiple players are synced and using Connect. Are you using MusicInfoSCR as a screen save on your SB3/2? Volume of my Squeezebox devices get regularly set to 50% - this is quite disturbing: imagine morning radio suddenly is at 50% from 25% Volume... Synching certainly is a problem: Spotty would try to use the Spotify's volume. But this obviously can't work if two players use different volumes. Can you confirm you see the same issue even without synching?
