If you have not setup any of my bridge to do transcoding (both use "none" for transcode), then there is no bit-level difference as far as the bridges are concerned. Only thing is that audio level forwarded to UPnP/Chromecast are indeed different, but that's just a command, no change to samples. So unless the Muso-2 does something different when decoding the same stream, there should be no difference. And that's not network, ethernet or anything like that. Only option is a different DSP processing in the Muso LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. I plan to update repository files as compatible with 8.0 in the not too distant future, just need to find some time. Its possible to download them manually and install them since their install.xml file says maxVersion=* but that means that they wont be updated automatically if I release a new version through the repository. At the moment I dont have any plans to release new plugin versions, my only plan is to mark the old versions as compatible with 8.0. Just submitted Version 2.6.5 to the MS Store. Changes: - When using Ctrl-Vol_UP/DOWN keys, step will be as defined in Material Skin, by looking for that key in Material Skin's LocalStorage. If not found, SQL will use 5 as the step. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
I'm hearing sounds differences in between CastBRidge and UPNP Bridge. I'll give you some background and maybe you can help me understand what I am hearing. My setup: Daphile server (LMS 7.9.2), Material Skin controller, streaming to a Naim Muso-2 (wired connection) I first streamed to the Muso-2 using the UPNP Bridge plugin. Works flawlessly and sounds great. I've had that set up since I got the Muso 8 months ago. I few weeks ago I tried the CastBridge plugin just on a lark. The first thing I noticed was that using CastBridge the sound level was lower than when I use the UPNP Bridge. I set the listening level 50% UPNP to 60% using CastBridge. Then I immediately started to notice some nuances in the music itself. The CastBridge has less edge to the music and seemed less bright and even less fatiguing after longer listening sessions. I've come to prefer the sound more than the UPNP stream. This surprised me. I did not come to his decision overnight. It's been a few weeks of back and forth. Can someone explain to me what and why I am hearing this difference? Any rational explanations? Here are some tracks I played today all streamed from Qobuz. The difference to me is clear. 1) Diana Krall - The Girl In The Other Room from same named CD 2) Brian Auger - Ella - from the Language of the Heart CD 3) Van Morrison - Higher Than the World - from Duets CD with George Benson Thanks for taking the time to reply. mjl33's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69815 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104614 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Shozzer wrote: > I'm very happy with green... Whilst we're on the subject of colours > would it be possible to extend the colours to have black (coloured > toolbars) and black as an optional colour? I can add "black (coloured toolbars)" (but don't really see the use, but easy enough to add). As for adding black as a colour - no, too much hassle (need to ensure can't select this with black theme, etc.) *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4.
