Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)

2020-06-02 Thread Michael Herger

Michael, I've lost even basic functionality in the past few weeks with
Spotty v4.1.1, running 7.9.2 on Win10. LMS tells me this when I select
Spotty on the web interface:

"Failed to get access token
Please check Settings/Advanced/Spotty Spotify for Squeezebox in the web
interface"

Could you please check your server.log file whether there are spotty
errors related to status 429?

Squeezelite-win issue. Looking at the processor/thread usage in task
manager it is Squeezelite-win which uses the 100% of a thread - not the
front end.

... though I've just logged in to Spotify Android with the same
credentials I put in the web interface. My Spotify username shows up
when I go to the "Spotty Spotify for Squeezebox" tab under Advanced,
right next to the 'delete' button.

Spotify connect doesn't work to my squeezebox either (I supposed for the
same reasons); though the app seems to think everything's peachy, no
sound comes out.

I've noticed for the last few days that Artist Biography and Album
Review always have the following error.

"Unknown error: Connect timed out:"

Lyrics are still returned. I initially observed this with version
1.6.18. I reverted back to 1.6.17, 1.6.15, and even 1.6.1 to see if it
was introduced with a recent change to the plugin, but those versions
responded the same way.

Is anyone else seeing this? Maybe something changed with the
information providers.

Using the Default skin under the *My Music* menu there are three
Spicefly Sugarcube items: Sugarcube Live View, Sugarcube History, and
Sugarcube Quick Play. These are not available under the Material skin.

Would it be possible to have those menus available in Material?

I know you don't have Sugarcube installed; you're just getting MusicIP
up and running. When I follow the debug information in your footer and
review the Console output I'm not seeing anything related to Sugarcube.
I do see that my libraries, favorites, and apps are requested. What
would you need from me to further isolate the issue?

BBCiPlayer Plugins does absolutley nothing with audio - the audio data
is passed through untouched. Look elsewhere for possible changes (e.g.

Thanks. Using -a 20:1 outputs sound fine and switches sample rate

I found that Jriver’s renderer doesn’t like FLAC very much. You either
have to run in HTTP “fixed” mode and force gapless playback, or
transcode to PCM. Unfortunately, the LMS Qobuz plugin doesn’t like
either option.

Hi Theriverlethe

for me LMS with the bridge was running a lot from a Synology NAS
providing FLAC to the JRiver renderer. It worked nice but from time to
time I had to restart the bridge because it paused during title changes.
Now I have moved LMS, the bridge and the library to an Ubuntu server. It

Unfortunately, I don't have a clue. Is this only when
squeezelite-win.exe is running under SLX? Or is it a squeezelite-win
issue?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.6 (and higher) & BBCiPlayerExtra 2.0 (and higher) Support

2020-06-02 Thread IanHaynes

This may not be connected to the BBCiPlayer plugin, so apologies if
not.

I recently moved from running PiCorePlayer and LMS on the same Pi2, to a
separate Pi3 for LMS and using the Pi2 as just a player. Since doing so
it appears that the sound from BBC radio is base heavy. It's not
noticeable on music played from elsewhere . There have been no
adjustments to any settings on the Pi2 player, other than turning LMS
off (which is still installed). The Alas mixer settings have never been
adjusted and are flat.

Any thoughts appreciated.

No. MIP analysis/fingerprinting does not care about what's in the tags.
It just "listens" to tunes; locally, which may explain the different
format support under different OSes.

Well LMS is on a pi4, so will need to use Linux there. I've run a quick
test of 68 mp3 and 30 m4a music files, set to use 6 threads, and this
completed in ~16minutes. What's odd is that I use the windows version of
MusicIPMixer under wine, and it does not analyse m4a files - reads them
in, but will not analyse. I then used ffmpegfs so that these would
appear as mp3 files, and this worked. I thought the windows version
supported m4a...

Not 100% clear yet but looks like it is something to do with TuneIn and
UK.
Radio France appears to be aware of it but so far they have not given me
the background or next steps.

However, I see that at around mid-afternoon today the metadata feed from
FIP stopped updating ...
This happens sometimes when they have issues but it might mean that they
are switching over to an alternative mechanism.
If it persists then I'll see if I can use their alternative source.

As another test can you try 'this build'
using the WASAPI device in exclusive mode using -a 20:1 instead of 50?
The wdmks driver is identical to the official portaudio release so I
don't expect any difference.

as which point the music stops/pauses.
