Would it be possible to add a command to 'zap' a song from the song's context menu in the playlist? (i.e. achieve what pressing and holding the + (add) button on the remote control does - adds the song to a 'zapped' list that can then forevermore be skipped over by e.g. Custom Skip). bossanova808's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=619 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I managed to resurrect the "Rebuffering" thread I linked to earlier, which had derailed into a discussion of "religion" - aka SQ, aka sound quality, as in whether you really can hear the effect of the paint on the walls of a concert hall if your kit is good enough, provided of course you also have undirectional speaker wire. So I'll continue the discussion there since nobody here seems to have had the rebuffering problem. Thanks to all! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.6 (and higher) & BBCiPlayerExtra 2.0 (and higher) Support
@pshepherd, @bpa I believe that it is the inclusion of the fragment suffix -#extra- in the GET request to the BBC Server that is causing the trouble. I'll guess that the BBC servers perhaps no longer tolerate it. Modern versions of -wget-, -curl-, and browsers seem to routinely strip this off before sending the GET request. I do not remember how LMS, or the relevant CPAN module(s) that it uses, operates in this regard. However I have just scanned a wireshark dump of a BBCiPlayer Extras fetch of the Radio 5 live availability schedule, and there is no -#extra- fragment suffix in the URL sent by the GET request. This is in contrast to @pshepherd's wireshark dump, which clearly does. I have no explanation for the difference between us at present. I am running LMS 7.9.3 on a Debian system. It would need some more investigation to see precisely how LMS is working. One point to note is that the URL that LMS caches content against does include the fragment suffix, and this would be needed. But I'm not sure what happens in detail lower down. DNS does not seem to be the issue. I get identical/similar -dig- results as does @pshepherd. I am in the UK. You can test the point using netcat. (Troublesome, needs a couple of presses of the enter key to make it work). I am not currently using a VPN (see below) and don't see the additional gtm/AWS entries in dig queries. I don't have anything about bbc.co.uk in local config files for dnsmasq or privoxy. They are both vanilla installs with minimal customisation, privoxy config does have some references to the bbc but that is to expressly allow access. I have also run dig using @8.8.8.8 which presumable removes any local s/w from the equation and get the same result. I just configured a new raspberry pi, plugged it into my router so avoiding any possible dnsmasq/privoxy detritious and see the same info as my previous post, https://pastebin.com/2tH7AX2F Interestingly I do have a VPN server configured on a DigitalOcean droplet in Frankfurt - so out of interest I started a Mint VM and saw the truncated dig response as above, however when I routed this VM through the VPN I then saw the full dig response as per your post ;) Not sure what to make of that, a bit outside my knowledge envelope. EIther way, I guess it's not a BBCiPlayer problem, I shall investigate ... Forget about LmsRepack if you do a fresh install of LMS. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LmsUpdate and LmsRepack - Synology 8.0.* packages
Sigh, my 10-year old Vortexbox has finally given up the ghost so my music library is temporarily playing through VLC, and my 2 Booms are silent. The good news is that I have a Synology DS220+ on order and it appears that I can install LMS8 on it and get my Booms back on line. However, the Synology OS is brand-new to me and Im currently on a fairly steep learning curve. That being the case, Im a little confused by the instructions here as to how to install LMS8 (especially since Synology no longer seem to have an official Logitech package in their list) and hope someone can help me out. In post #1, the instructions state that Perl must be installed before LMS8. However, the instructions in #115 make no mention of the Perl install and simply talk about sourcing and installing the LMS package. Similarly, post #1 seems to indicate that I require a specific package (x86_64 in the case of a DS220+) and elsewhere there seems to be an implication that I need to specifically pick this up from the -sourceforge -repository and sideload it into Package Centre. Lastly, even after reading the entire 7.9.2 and 8.0 threads(!), Im confused by the relationship between LmsUpdate and LmsRepack If someone could summarise the required install steps on a brand-new Synology NAS (DS220+ in my case) that would be great. I dont need to know which buttons to press (Ive been playing around with Synologys DSM simulator and am reasonably happy with using Package Centre), just what needs to be installed, from where and in which order. Grateful thanks for all thoughts and comments. Im really looking forward to getting my SQ environment back up and running and am especially grateful to pinkdot and everyone else who have worked so hard to keep SBS/LMS alive enz01's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41282 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111876 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Hello, Since two or three days, my Squeezeboxes can't no more access to Qobuz. The plugin seems fine, I can browse through Qobuz menus, favorites and so one, I can add album to the list BUT the song never play. 10 secondes after beginning and silence, it skips to the next one, alert : can't access to the the next track, skip the next etc. With no sound at all. The LMS and boxes work fine with my own library ; BandCamp and SoundCloud work OK ; it's just Qobuz streaming (CD quality) I am on MacOS High Sierra, I have installed the LMS 8.0, reboot all my equipment including livebox, and even attributed static IP addresses to my squeeze boxes. Does anyone face the same issue ? Thanks for help, if help is possible. People from Qobuz staff are not very LMS friendly, if I remember my previous experiences Cordially yours, JBP Pelardon's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67566 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Actually I think I've found a solution to the rebuffering problem - 'right here on the forum' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?87973-One-cause-of-rebuffering-on-the-Touch).
