Just to be clear, you can logout from the preferences and log back in without incident, correct? The problem only comes when accessing the service? The preference shows you as logged in? I'll work to add logging to the relevant sections, that's probably the only way to see what's happening, but it may be a a week or more before I have a chance to look at it. Hi, I have a number of text files and html files stored alongside my music files. They detail things about the artist that is particular to me (ie. dates, places I've seen them, gigs where I have performed with them, photos etc.). I can view this info using the MAI plugin, selecting "text files from music folder" for the artist I'm interested in, then a list of text/html files is displayed, clicking on them displays the data. Well almost, I've noticed that it works fine if I am running a web GUI (default or material skin) from a browser. However running from SLX (default or material skin) I am presented with a blank screen when I select any text or html file. Even stranger, I have one windows 10 machine where it does work OK, but all my other machines just display a blank screen. I've only just noticed this because the machine I use most often with SLX is the one that happens to work! So it makes me think it's a setting somewhere that is different between the machines, or I have to install something on the other machines to make it work? Any ideas, anyone seen something similar? First of all - BIG thanks to philippe_44 for this great plugin! I'm used to use it with Chromecast Audio and connected the Google Home Mini today. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
Version 2.7.7 Has been submitted to the Store. Changes - Updated to latest version of squeezelite (as described in previous post). Native WMA support in player is no longer supported, however you can still play WMA files using the PlayWMA plugin (if needed). Still includes older version of player you can enable in debug options if necessary. - Updated version of Chromium Embedded Framework. - Fixed potential shutdown error due to risky logging during shutdown - You can now select a specific player for Media Key application - Tray/Custom Menu size slightly bigger, more touch friendly - Drop down menus use color Note: I think this will be last version that supports Windows 7. Hi, As I experienced network problems in a former installation, I decided to set up MusicMagic Server from scratch with Max2Play on a Raspberry PI 4B 1GB with Debian Buster and LMS version 7.9.4. Following this guide I got stuck while adding tracks to MusicMagic Server. Although all files were fingerprinted and tagged before with the Windows version, only a rough quarter of them is listed as 'mixable songs' but MusicIP import in LMS is possible for all of these songs. This was done because timestamp of audio packet being played can be delayed by BBC. Change skip back to say 5 mins and then skip forward to 30 secs or 1 min. It is easier to overshoot backward and then edge up forwards. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113207 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Using Squeezer on Android which is a bit easier, skip back still doesn't seem to go back more than once (nor on IE). Frankly I am not quite sure what it does after the first skip back. However the "Skip back to start" does work as expected! I have now set skip back/forwards to 2 / 1 mins respectively. If I go to the beginning of the program, then skipping forwards seems to jump either 2 or 3 mins (rarely 1 minute as expected), but at least it does work. Skipping back seems a bit random, not sure what it is doing or even that the time delay indicator is correct. Sometimes it seems to skip back as expected, sometimes it seems to actually go skip forwards! Actually although no gui squeezelite is easier - by defualt it will use the Windows default audio driver so set as HDMI in control panel. Download it and place into a new folder c:\squeezlite The exe is named squeezelite-x32 or x64 Run it initially from a command prompt inside c:\squeezlite with squeezelite-xXX -s 10.0.0.11 -n "W7 Laptop"replace XX with 32 or 64 and replace 10.0.0.11 with IP address of your LMS server let it through your firewall You will see a new DOS box open don't close it. Have you got LAN near the HiFi? This additional info is great. I will go through and try to understand it. Not having a Windows PC in the chain would definitely be a positive. The laptop would just be temporary until I get the Pi project set up. (I do plan to upgrade my desktop computer from Windows 7 to 10, so would probably upgrade the laptop as well.) I don't have a LAN near the HiFi. I used to run a Cat 7 30 foot cable from my router (attached to the desktop I work on and which has my music files currently) to the Duet in the room with the HiFi. Then I switched to WiFi. basslover's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38572 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113191 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yes you could use a Windows 7 laptop with HDMI or with a USB cable - the latter is likely to work without any fiddling but in either case may need to be permanently attached or you could find yourself having to power off the DAC every time you connect. You would need to install either squeezelite (command line player) or squeezeplay (has a GUI) or a windows app (from the app store) called squeezelite-x The first 2 are maintained by user ralphy and you can find at - https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/ The latter is available from the Windows app store but you may need W10 for it However W7 is no longer supported so if you a serious about digital music and LMS then go the Pi route - it uses hardly any power so can be permanently on and can be both a player and a server - once you have gone that way you will not look back. You will sit on the couch and control your playlist from a phone or tablet using the Material skin plugin with no Windows PC in the chain. Your music files would be on a USB disk attached to a Pi acting as server which could be wired to your router with another Pi as a player behind your HiFi or you could site a single Pi as player/server behind your HiFi - if it is a server it is much better if it is cabled and has a fixed IP address. Alternatively if you have a NAS you can keep your files there and point the Pi server at it. First question. Have you got LAN near the HiFi? I'm not sure what could be going wrong here. All SimpleLibraryViews does is add an entry into the library_track table for each track id that exists within a particular library view. https://sites.google.com/site/picoreplayer/home/List-of-USB-DACs If you do a search (Ctrl+F) of the spreadsheet for "NAD M51" you will find a very recent entry for it on 9/11/20 which very encouragingly says "It's possible to output to the M51 at hi-rez using the HDMI port (HDMI audio: & sysdefault:CARD=ALSA) without an on-board DAC. Sounds as good if not better than the HiFi Berry DAC on the Coax output." You just need a 2GB Pi4, a nice case, and SD card and a decent powersupply and install piCorePlayer. If you have a LAN port near the Hi-Fi then there is hardly any config to be done. If not you will have to temporarily conenct via LAN elsewhere then config the Pi for your WiFi network before moving it to your Hi-Fi. It really is easy. philippe_44 wrote: > IGMP snooping is very often an issue. I've added a comment on the first > post of this thread Sorry for my lack of knowledge on IGMP, but what does this mean - should we disable the IGMP function on the router for best performance of the UPnpBridge? Or we should somehow adjust the IGMP settings regarding snooping? I had some problems with the bridge a long time ago, and I think enabling IGMP on the router helped (as per your advice to check IGMP settings). But I think I changed a few more settings of the router then. Though, now sometimes the songs only start to play after a delay and not from the start of the song, so there is a pause of silence in the beginning of every song (as I have described in an earlier 'post' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103728-Announce-UPnPBridge-integrate-UPnP-DLNA-players-with-LMS-(squeeze2upnp)=970054=1#post970054). As mentioned, this does not happen frequently and restarting the plugin solves the issue temporarily, so I can live with this. But if this could be solved permanently by changing some settings of the router, it would be great. Though, there are not many settings for IGMP on my router - I can only toggle the IGMP and select it's version (between IGMPv2 and IGMPv3, IGMPv2 is currently selected), also I can toggle and select the version of MLD, which is used for IPv6, but probably it shouldn't affect the bridge. Also there are settings for UDPXY, which is currently disabled. "UDPXY is a UDP-to-HTTP multicast traffic relay daemon: it forwards UDP traffic from a given multicast subscription to the requesting HTTP client." Maybe someone who understands these things better than me could give an advice on how to configure them for best use with the bridge? mnd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
