I clicked the upgrade and hit apply without doing a server restart in-between the original version and the upgrade. I've tried rebooting the iPhone - no > change. > Dave > I'm still utterly confused. The RPI running LMS should not "appear" on in the AirPlay list of your iPhone, unless that RPI runs shairport, but that a totally different thing. The AirPlay bridge finds *real* AirPlay devices on your network and make LMS believe that they are native squeezeboxes. Such AirPlay devices can be HomePods, AppleTV, Sonos and many software players based on shairport. So, unless you run shairport on the RPI, it should not be pickedup by the bridge Now, if you want to see real squeezeboxes to be turned into AirPlay devices that will appear on your iPhone as target speakers to send the audio to, this is where you are looking for ShairTunes2W plugin So, in summary when you are talking about the RPI named "Pool" I can only assume that you are referring to squeezelite (aka LocalPlayer) that is a software squeezebox that runs on your RPI, but that software runs independently from LMS. In other word, it can run on a RPI that does not runs LMS (of course, some computer on your network must run LMS, but it can be anywhere). You can do the contorted thing to transform squeezelite into an AirPlay using the bridge and then use it from your iPhone, but you'd rather use shairport that gives your direct access. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Ratings Light
The setRating function will probably not work for implementing the trackstat setrating command due to this if statement: Code: if ($request->isNotCommand([['ratingslight'],['setrating']])) { You can do an and with a similar statement for isNotCommand with trackstat setrating and it should work properly. If you want to make it work properly if TrackStat also is installed you could put an if statement around the addDispatch calls that register TrackStat CLI commands so they are only registered if TrackStat isnt installed. You can see the isPluginsInstalled function in some of my plugins for an example how to check if a plugin is installed. If you want to have additional logic in setrating if TrackStat is installed you can implement a setTrackStatRating function and TrackStat will call your plugin when a rating is set through TrackStat, you can see the TrackStatPlaylist plugin for an example of this https://github.com/erland/lms-trackstatplaylist/blob/a00d709aaf2dbe797c096b949d3d4b280335fb44/src/Plugin.pm Just mentioning all this since your logic around comment tags and playlists generation potentially could be useful for someone even if TrackStat is installed. You might want to check with pippin how iPeng handles ratings, not sure if it checks if trackstat setrating is available or explicitly checks if TrackStat plugin is installed. Might be other third party apps that also sets ratings via TrackStat that you might want to verify compatibility with. By the way, its great to see more third party developers are interested to add functionality around ratings :-) Erland Isaksson ('My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info)) Developer of 'many plugins/applets' (https://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/User_Erland.html) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113344 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Pool does not show up in the Airplay list (the "Bridge Configuration Screen"? on my iPhone) when I'm trying to source from my iPhone (6sPlus running Ios 14.2). I've tried rebooting the iPhone - no change. As mentioned, when this first started to happen, going into Settings on the AirPlay Bridge plugin showed that I was missing a config file that was (in theory) auto generated when the screen was refreshed. Unfortunately, I can no longer even get Settings to open for Airplay Bridge ... clicking on Settings just puts me into a permanent waiting mode, waiting for the Rpi/LMS system to respond. It never does. Other Settings for other plugins work fine (and open right up). The only way I can get this to work is to unload Airplay Bridge, reboot both the Pi and LMS, reinstall, and reboot again. Then it'll work for a day or so. I really do appreciate your help! They even refused my suggestion to use the LMS8.0 library integration function  Anyway, more use case specific: In the LMS GUI, Spotify search is the centralized way of searching music on Spotify. When you find an artist, album or playlist via search, and you want 'follow' it you can click or touch the button on you mobile device. The question then is of course: in which library is it saved? OK, in git/master (for 2.1.0) I have added (untested) support for this. To detect the plugin I call -["can", "trackstat", "getrating", "?"]- for TrackStat. If this returns "_can:1" then TrackStat is used. Otherwise I call -["can", "ratingslight", "getrating", "?"]- to check for ratingslight. This also needs to return "_can:1" If it does, I then call -["pref", "plugin.ratingslight:rating_10scale", "?"]- to check the rating scale. This should return 1 if 10 is max rating, otherwise 5 is assumed. *Material debug:* 1. It uses LMS' own persistent database to store rating values. - set ratings in other plugins - (auto-)import ratings using keywords in comment tags of files - export rated tracks to playlist files (e.g. for import in other apps) - display ratings in track context menu or on older devices using the -Music Information Screen- plugin - skip tracks (unrated or rated below spec. rating) using the -CustomSkip- plugin The code is 'here' (https://github.com/AF-1/lms-ratingslight). Install by adding this repo URL: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AF-1/lms-misc/main/repo/public.xml Have fun. afriend's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39306 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113344 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hi @pippin. Hi. I wrote a simple rating plugin called 'Ratings Light' (https://github.com/AF-1/lms-ratingslight). Would you consider adding support for this plugin in iPeng? Support = it's possible to display and set ratings in iPeng if this plugin is installed. That would be great. Hey @cpd73: I wrote a simple rating plugin called 'Ratings Light' (https://github.com/AF-1/lms-ratingslight). It would be nice to see Material enable ratings when this plugin is installed. Please let me know if you're planning to add support. FYI while I was testing this plugin with Material is created a library with 45000 (fake) artists and set your batch_size constant to 5. Material is so fast and efficient that it only took about 2 seconds on my 9 years+ hardware to load the complete artists menu. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite problems playing WMA lossless on Raspberry Pi
I would be grateful for any ideas regarding a problem I have encountered with replay of WMA lossless files on a headless configuration of Squeezelite on a Rasberry Pi. Firstly the environment. Squeezelite version 1.8-4.1+b1 , Raspbian - Buster, PI 1 model B in conjunction with Logitech server running on Windows server 2008 holding the media. Replay is currently through the PI onboard headphone socket but I intend to use a DAC later.. Initially Squeezelite plays the media, but then stops after some time. Whilst running it continuously logs "ff_decode:377 avcodec_decode_audio4 error: -22 Invalid argument". WMA files play successfully on the Pi using VLC. Squeezelite successfully plays mp3 media when tested. For historical reasons the bulk of my media is in WMA format and I don't fancy a mass conversion, so a solution to this problem would be appreciated. sirroma's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70998 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113342 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
