That doesn't work sadly. I set it to 0, restartet the server and then the whole pc. Tried again with 1500, but it keeps loading only 495 tracks. Did you create your own client ID for Spotify? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
I totally agree with you bpa, even if they work currently its just a matter of time until something breaks. I wish I had the focus and time to be able to continue maintaining the plugins but to be brutally realistic its very unlikely to happen. My family situation is different today with a small kid in the house and my music listening behavior has changed significantly to mostly using streaming services (Spotify) and currently Ive honestly barely any need for my plugins myself. Its hard to let all people down who have used my plugins and Ive had some hope to be able to do some minimal maintenance, but to be realistic this is very unlikely to happen. Due to all this Ive also decided to leave my repository files as they are with maxTarget=7.*. If some one wants to maintain a separate repository file with minTarget=8.0.0 pointing at my or your own server feel free to do so, but in this case please put it under your e-mail/name instead of mine so people primarily contact you instead of me if they have problem with LMS 8.0 or later. For people relying on my plugins this means that you have the current options: - Stay on LMS 7.* forever. In this case you are probably going to loose streaming services over time since they tend to change and will probably stop working on 7.* eventually. Upgrading the OS is obviously very risky since 7.* is eventually going to stop working on latest OS versions. This might be an alternative if you are only using local music and have LMS installed on a computer/device that isnt used for anything else. - If you have development skills or is willing to learn, implement new plugins with similar functionality as mine and support them on LMS 8.0 and later. Based on some discussions in the forum I think there might already be some work going on in this direction related to ratings and browsing by custom tags. Alternatively take over maintenance of my plugins, but I honestly expect this to be harder and more boring. Its always easier to maintain code you have written yourself. I had zero Perl knowledge when I started to implement TrackStat so dont look at it as an impossible task just because you havent developed in Perl before. - Install my plugins manually in 8.0 and enjoy them as long as they work, but as indicated its just a matter of time until something breaks so you should probably plan for that so your setup doesnt become unusable when it happens. For my personal setup I think the most likely scenario is that Ill continue using 7.8 on short terms and switch to 8.* without most of my plugins installed on longer terms. I still plan to continue being a member in this community, so this post doesnt mean Ill disappear from the community. To everyone using my plugins, sorry to let you down but hopefully most of you will understand. Thanks for all positive feedback you have given me over the years. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
I would like to make two suggestions regarding the managing of Qobuz favorites. While playing a Qobuz track, when selecting "More" and then navigating to "On Qobuz" -> "Manage Favorites" I get a short list of things I can select to be added to my Qobuz favorites: Artist, Album, or the track currently playing. First suggestion: can the Qobuz "Manage Favorites" page be modified so that each of the selectable items has a checkbox next to it, and also add Cancel/Done buttons to the page so that multiple items can be selected together without closing this page and having to navigate back to select another item? Second: If I have selected "Show Composer with Artist" in Qobuz plugin settings, then when managing Qobuz Favorites, the composer shows up with the artist there in addition to the "Now Playing" display. So, would it be possible to add the artist by him/herself as an option to select as a favorite? By the way, I have been using the online music integration feature in LMS 8 for some time now, pulling updates periodically using git, and I have to say it is a fabulous feature. Nothing substantial changed in this area in 0.4, but I'm glad to hear its working for you. Because this plugin relies on streaming downloads of the podcast files (nothing is locally cached), functions like progress information and resume depend on the web server that's delivering the podcast file (accurate content length, support for range requests). Things like connection timeout aggressiveness also come into play. Most podcast hosting providers seem provide everything required, but there may be some that don't. I don't have a sense of how common these features are across the larger podcast ecosystem, though all the podcasts I personally follow fully support these features. So I suspect you may be seeing a change in how your particular podcast is hosted by its provider, or maybe you're testing with a different podcast this time? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I have recently moved to trying Material Skin in a desktop browser. It's taking me a little while to get used to, but seems excellent. One little wrinkle I would like, if possible, is the inclusion of Bands (sometimes more than one orchestra/choir) in the list of artists. I also note that sometimes Composer is missing. So, for a Bach Violin Partita I see just the main artist, no Composer (or in some cases 2, where arranged by someone like Busoni). For a Beethoven Symphony I see Composer, Conductor, and Artists/Album Artists. I find that slightly puzzling. Is it based on genre, or something else? I appreciate people have very different likes and dislikes. Personally I want all five types of artists, and multiples of all of them (but not duplicates) where present. I may be alone in this :) If it's not possible to have this in a simple way, could the plugin provide options in the settings? I have tried searching, but there are quite a few posts! The main issue for me would be if there are underlying changes, like SSL or Perl version changes, that might cause problems with other plugins (eg some BBC ones). Since I learned that 7.9.4 is no longer being maintained at all, moving forward might then be the only option. Given nothing much else to do right now in these strange times I decided it was a good time to take the plunge and see what happened. :) LMS 7.9.3 on PC, Xubuntu 18.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. 2 Touchs & EDO. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
On the android apk, when viewing the MusicIP config screen, the Mix Genre heading is slightly confusing, see below: 32499 It reads as Mix Genre, Yes, implying that genres should be mixed. Actually what it means is don't mix genre. The additional note (which appears in the web version) isn't shown which clarifies: Mix Genre 32498 Hope that makes sense. +---+ |Filename: Screenshot_2020-12-11-13-05-05-898_com.craigd.lmsmaterial.app_compress33.jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=32499| +---+ location 1: lms 8.0 on win 10 brix server, x2 sb radios, x1 touch, x1 controller : location 2: lms 8.0 on win 10 brix server, x2 sb radios, x1 duet receiver, x1 controller : alexa mediaserver smart skill, material android, squeezelitex control staresy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=807 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
I have now made the shift to the 8.0.1. Done a full rescan, and all OK so far, including the latest versions of: Custom Browse Custom Clock Helper Custom Scan Dynamic Playlists Multi-Library SQL Playlist Trackstat (I think - I haven't checked many of the options) Having also changed to Material Skin, I'm still figuring out the options and menus. The content is live, typically sport events, often before local radio joins the feeds. The event stream does not seem to be recorded. IIRC Any recorded content seems to be the part of the program that is in a schedule of local radio/5live extra etc. Finding what is on an Event stream does not seem to be properly centralised - often under "commentaries" of a Sports page. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Check out the thread on this forum for the companion Mediaserver skill. Read from post #589 there is a description of how I set this up on Windows using .BAT files, and a discussion (with help from fellow forum contibutors) of how to tweak and fine tune it. The principles of operation outlined in the Mediaserver help pages apply to Linux and Windows, it's just the fine detail of how to implement that differs slightly, but rest assured it can be made to work. location 1: lms 8.0 on win 10 brix server, x2 sb radios, x1 touch, x1 controller : location 2: lms 8.0 on win 10 brix server, x2 sb radios, x1 duet receiver, x1 controller : alexa mediaserver smart skill, material android, squeezelitex control staresy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=807 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111443 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Its not available on the BBC sounds website or app, so my statement about it "just appearing" probably isn't the case, and the "url" method I mentioned won't work. The stream does have an id (p090r6np) but the BBC Sounds API doesn't understand it. I guess at some point the BBC will integrate it into BBC Sounds, but it appears to be entirely seperate at the moment. expectingtofly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63263 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If they change I won't have a problem finding alternative methods as long as they're available somewhere. In the meantime I edited BBCIplayers menu.opml and added the 20 channels to my favourites as a precaution. At the moment there is Formula 1 from Abu Dhabi on Live Event 13 - it's probably on Live 5/Extra from time to time. *Music Store and VPN Server: *Synology DS215J NAS* Study Player:* Pi 3B pCp 6.1.0/IQ Audio DAC+ *Study Server:* Pi 4 pcp 7.0.0 (beta) *Refurbished 1962 RCA Stereo Console Player *LMS 7,9.3 on Pi 4B pCp 6.1.0/IQ Audio DAC+ *Headphone & Streamer Players: x3:* pCp 6.1.0 on Pi 3B /IQ Audio DAC+ *Homeplug/LAN Players: x2: *Squeezelite on Windows 10 PC. *VPN Mobile & Car Player:* Material/SqueezePlayer on Android Phone ian_heys's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2629 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce : BBC Sounds Plugin
2.7.1 is a bug fix release, it includes : BUG FIXES: - Fixed an issue where the most recent item in the playlist was not being updated with meta data by the controllers. - Adjusted the way the Audio On Demand audio stream was identified to fix some non-playing legacy audio streams. This release is available now in the main repository. expectingtofly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63263 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Interestingly, this particular version of this programme was not playing was that it was different to most others, it was marked as being in "deprecated" service, and is only available in a maximum 128 kbps, which was why the plugin was failing to play it. I've fixed the plugin so it now plays. So hopefully this should fix the last of the "not playing" problems, so thanks for raising. expectingtofly's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63263 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113045 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
