Well the only thing that is obvious is that the output device is opened
before the update

33284

and not open after the update

33285

But then, i have a short attention span when it comes to this sort of
thing :rolleyes::)

sorry :(

@EHJONES

Because pCP 7 does not work on my rpi1b I have reverted to raspberry PI
OS Lite on my old "turtle".

It has the Cirrus Logic Dac fitted.

At the weekend I updated the OS and I'm now on

NO problems at all

I use Ralphy's builds and install them using this guide

I'll look through the logs but I'm pretty useless with that sort of
thing, so don't expect anything :)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite on rPi 3 suddenly not working

2021-02-08 Thread ehjones

Sorry to go on about this. I'm not sure where else I can discuss this!

I've had a recurrence of the problem - squeezelite not working on an
rPi3 running upgraded Raspbian Lite 10.7 regardless of any option
switches.

How I can reproduce it:

1. A fresh flash of Raspbian Lite 32-bit, release 2021-01-11.
2. $ sudo apt install squeezelite and it works exactly as expected with
no need to specify an output.
3. $ sudo apt update && apt upgrade -y
4. After a reboot into the new kernel squeezelite no longer outputs
audio. It appears to run and LMS can see it. Running with the switch -d
infoIt uses resources on the rPi3 (as displayed by $ top) but no audio
plays, and FWIW nothing is output via the visualisation data file in
/dev/shm/

$ uname -a before the upgrade: Linux raspberrypi 5.4.83-v7+ #1379 SMP
Mon Dec 14 13:08:57 GMT 2020 armv7l GNU/Linux

$ uname -a after the upgrade: Linux raspberrypi 5.10.11-v7+ #1399 SMP
Thu Jan 28 12:06:05 GMT 2021 armv7l GNU/Linux

I can't find any other reports of this being an issue, so I'm at a bit
of a loss. At least I have a temporary workaround in the meantime. Any
input, thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated, thank you.

Now then, that APK was the key for me. Having just tried it, I can now
confirm that I've been quickly converted!

I actually still prefer the Default interface when using Windows, and
hadn't twigged that I could have a best of both worlds. But I can!
With the Material Skin plug-in and the app, I now realise what everyone
else was raving about. I think Squeezer may no longer darken my door!

Thanks for the prompt to get me to take a look.

That's great news. Looking at the log file, it looks like it was just
failing to connect to the bbc and timing out. Hopefully it was just a
bit of downtime at the BBC end and will continue to work.

I saw that IOS 14.5 would allow the use of other default music app and

Thanks!

That seems a bit odd, your server is failing to connect/download to the
information about the stream so that it can start streaming.

Please can you do the following, on settings->Advanced->logging :

- set "network.asynchttp" to logging level "debug"
- set "plugin.bbcsounds" to logging level "info"

then try and play another stream and send me the log file

you can then set the logging level back to "error" and "warn"
respectively.

I've been unable to get any programs to play on BBC Sounds running on a
Synology LMS. Given that I know that isn't supported anymore, I have set
up a Raspberry Pi 4 running piCorePlayer. I have LMS 8.1.1 and version
2.13.3 of the BBC Sounds app running. I am still unable to listen to any
programming. Whilst I can browse the app, pick a program through
Stations and Schedules and 'play', the time progress bar shows a time of

Given that this was happening on a completely different setup, it feels
like I am missing a step but really don't know what to try next (and I'm

I can run BBC Sounds on my phone and BT to a speaker but would love to

Setting the library here only affects this instance of Material, and the

Sorry if asked and answered, did not find it: can it be that library
views do not work (LMS8.1.2 with Material 2.2.3 installed)?
I created in LMS with advanced search a filtered view that only shows
24bit albums. In LMS the filtered view works, but in Material in
Chrome/Edge it does not show the filtered view.
The library is selected in the player view, a refresh doe snot help and
I can not find something of a cache that can/should be deleted?

Any advice welcome!
