If you have noise at other frequencies than 44.1 it means that resampling does not work and it's very likely because your system is missing the sox resampler. You can use the "static" version of the binary helper. I'll push another version later today that tells LMS that sample rate is limited to 44100 when sox resampler cannot be loaded, so that LMS can take care of resampling. I han install and config airplay, finally I have sync between RPI, some Sonos speakers and a marantz AVR, but in some files I only get noise in the airplay speakers (Sonos and AVR). Appreciate your help. I tried like a million combinations with those keys but no luck. But I found a way around it. I selected "file" for "Request Body" of the "Get contents of" command and selected a variable for the "file". Prior to the "Get contents of" command I lookup a text file on my local http server which contains the string "{"id":1,"method":"slim.request","params":["aa:aa:45:03:00:73",["playlist","play","/mnt/music/Geluiden/Ding-dong-sound.mp3"]]}". And I assigned it to the variable that I then pass onto "file" for "Request Body". Okay, this is not the most elegant solution but it works! In regards to Pushcut: it lets you create an action that executes the post message. But the action is represented by a button that the user has to push on the notification Pushcut sends out. The copy url thing is indeed what you need to do. but this url is pasted in a "Get contents of" command in a HomeKit shortcut. That triggers the PushCut notification. When the notification appears on your phone, you need to pull it down and that reveals the action button of the action created in Pushcut. When the user presses the button it will then send the post message. And that is not what I want. Anyway, I found a way that works. It is a pity how Apple treats HomeKit. HomeKit supports shortcuts but this is a subset of the Shortcuts app from Apple. I was able to create a working shortcut in the Shortcuts app. But due to the poor shortcuts implementation in HomeKit I couldn't get it to work in HomeKit. There are some things I really don't understand in Apple's way of reasoning. Why just not integrate the Shortcuts app into HomeKit; that would make HomeKit a hell of a lot more powerful... I tried this with Pushcut and it works... well kinda... I mean, Pushcut can run an action that does exactly what we need. I was able to play a din-dong file on my HomePod Mini. I used this request message: {"id":1,"method":"slim.request","params":["",["playlist","play","/mnt/music/Geluiden/Ding-dong-sound.mp3"]]} Success... or maybe not... Only problem is that the action needs to be triggered by human interaction. That's not what I want... That's not my understanding. Any system which can call a URL should be able to trigger the action: in the Pushcut action definition, there's a button to copy the action's URL (bottom left). You could open that URL in a browser, or using your automation system, and it would trigger the action. That of course would only be useful as long as you were at home (or near your LMS). Now I turned my attention back to Homekit itself. There is a way to do this with a Homekit Shortcut. Things here is that the Homekit user interface strips the message down into keys. To illustrate what I mean, here's a screenshot: Oh, I've never tried that... Question is: how do I fill in the rest? But, I'd have to add click/touch handlers all over the place to show/hide the descriptions.. The best way would be to completely replace the usage of 'Classic' with a proper Material style - but that would be quite a lot of work. RobbH wrote: > ...Advanced Search ... > Would it be possible to add a way to return to the search results, > without having to start the same search all over again? Unfortunately not with the way its currently implemented. Material embeds the Advanced search from the 'Classic' skin, and when you click on a link it browses via Material - the strings entered into advanced search are not saved anywhere, so can't really navigate back. This was the easiest way for me to implement this, as there is no JSONRPC API to perform advanced searches. Ideally I'd remove this Classic skin embedding and implement an API for Material to call, but that's a lot of work... *Material debug:* 1. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite on LibreELEC?
Hey, does anyone run Squeezelite on LibreELEC? Until recently I had Squeezelite on OSMC, but moved to LibreELEC which is "minimalistic OS" and I'm not able to install it same way.. That sounds interesting. How exactly would I need to format those POST requests? (I'm a total noob at those things). You'd send the command as a stringified JSON object in the body of the requeest: {"id":0,"params":["00:04:...",["serverstatus"]],"method":"slim.request"} ["serverstatus"] would be your command, where you put every argument as an array item. Eg. ["titles", 0, 100, "tags:a"] would give you one hundred titles, starting at the first (0), with ID, title, and artist name (a). {"id":0,"params":["00:04:...",["playlist", "play", "http://www.radio.com/some/stream"]],"method":"slim.request"} Would play the URL. I do add a little JS, to add the folder chooser buttons and to intecept some play/add buttons (from advanced search, etc). However, I -like- the descriptions always being shown, I find it more helpful than being hidden behind a tooltip - especailly the long ones (I've see the tooltips on the Default skin hide some of the text). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
In the LMS default interface, Advanced Search operates somewhat the same as Random Albums in this way: if I select one entry in the search results (a list of albums) to view the list of tracks on the album, the interface does not provide a way to return to the list of albums, but the browser "back" button will usually return to the list. With Material, there is a way to return to the list of albums when viewing Random Albums (including the great genre-specific random album modes you've added). But not in Advanced Search. After leaving the search results to view a single album in the list, I do not find way to return to the search results. The back arrow returns to the top level of the Browse menu. The browser Back button doesn't seem to do anything. Would it be possible to add a way to return to the search results, without having to start the same search all over again? Ok, so I did a bit more digin... There are possibly two ways we can interface LMS from Apple HomeKit: 1) It is possible to send SSH scripts from HomeKit automations. So if there would be a way to have LMS command line interface available though SSH then we have a solution. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: LMS Controls - Google Home / Google Assistant Voice Control of LMS Players
Hello Tony/ynot, Long after your add-on was released, Google made it easier to control media players. Yesterday I experimented with the Google / HA (local install not Nabu Casa or Docker) out-of-the-box and I have basic pause/resume & volume working. I know that your add-on adds a lot more. My question ... with the newish capabilities from Google Assistant for controlling media players would it be feasible to use their capability without having to go through Dialogue Flow? If the HA built-in capability include treating LMS favourites like Input Selectors then I think I would not need anything more and am tempted to see if I can add that into the standard HA. Then I could say something like set input to preset 4 on bedroom radio to play BBC Radio 4 on a bedroom Squeezebox.
