Or not. I have no idea. To answer your question (or not), I use only USB, but ASIO is supposed to work with all sound devices. So if that converter is your sound device, then ASIO4ALL should find it and use it with no problem. But my desktop PC has no sound devices other than whatever USB DAC I plug in, so that's easy for me to say. +---+ |Filename: asio4all-sr.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=34256| +---+ LMS: SGC microJukebox running Sonicorbiter OS Control apps: Squeezelite-X on Win 10; Squeezer or Material web app on Android Players: Duet, Touch (two), Mac SqueezePlay, Win Squeezelite-X on laptop and HTPC left channel's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67918 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty: playback of Ogg 320 kb/s
Can I have some clarification on the following situation: I've got Spotify Premium, and streaming 320k Ogg Vorbis to Radio(s) works great. However, when I try and seek into a track the stream is then converted to 705k FLAC. Is seeking Spotty Ogg Vorbis not possible? Also, I do notice a volume change from when a track starts in Ogg Vorbis, then changes over to FLAC after seeking, so it sounds like ReplayGain is being applied/de-applied in FLAC (I don't know which one, likely applied because the volume goes down typically, and I'm listening to newer 2021 albums, which seem to all have very loud gain settings). Thanks. I use a cheap Topping DAC with an upgraded power supply. Does the ASIO driver only work with USB connection? Or is it an add-on software implementation? I use optical out from a USB to optical converter. I don't see an ASIO option in the sound settings with the converter. The Topping DAC is limited to 16/44.1 over USB but not over spdif. I found a clunkier solution compared to SLX for hires exclusive mode, using Plex web mode to the Plex Media Player. It functions pretty well but compared to the LMS/SLX with the material skin, it isn't as good of an experience. Just run the 3 sed commands with sudo. But probably not much harm in running the script as root. Just be aware that tce-load cannot run with root permissions, so be sure to preface with "sudo -u tc " if you run the script as root. The other thing I would change. Thank you for this plugin Philippe! I never realized how much I would enjoy it! Simple question - I know nothing about the You Tube Google API Keys. I am setting up a LMS server for a friend. I can use the API Key that I generated for my LMS instances (2), or, should I have him generate one to use? I would prefer to just use mine, as I don't have to remotely hand hold him, but don't understand the google account ramifications Jim Redrum's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105840 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Sugarcube - Settings clarification
Hi there, a slightly related topic: Where can I permanently fix the value for MusicIP Request No. of Tracks (Number of Tracks to Request from MusicIP)? I have it set to '100' because TrackStat filter out a lot of songs after a while. Every time I restart LMS this value is set back to '10'. Probably there is a setting file where I can change this standard value...? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
Amazon seems to have a problem at the moment in their cloud function for returning artist/recording names to the skill when parsing your spoken request. I'm getting values like 'air liquide' returned when I ask for 'Madonna'. I'm also getting an array of values for what should always be a single value. It's not the skill's fault so I can't fix anything - we'll just have to wait for Amazon to fix this. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Playback on the local machine will happen with any squeezleite player - no need for LocalPLayer plugin. LocalPlayer provides payback using direct access to files(directed by LMS) rather than LMS streaming. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97766 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The Debian Buster packaged Squeezelite is v1.8 something or other The next Debian Bullseye is v 1.9 something I have tried (yeserday) to install Local Player on a rapberry PI OS Buster Desktop LMS would it would not install. I installed the packaged squeezelite and update to Ralph's latest version withou a problem (this is of course, not to say that there might not be problems somewhere, but non have yet occured, fingers, crossed). There is an option to turn local access on/off in the settings for the plugin but its purpose seems to be, right now anyway, to enable playback on a machine running LMS, which as per the description for the plugin includes the player. I think the plugin will install the bundled player regardless of a player being present on the machine or not but I can't read the source well enough to tell. As far as I can tell the plugin is getting updates, latest one in october 2020, but I can't tell if the binaries are getting updated or not or if it just using different builds from the ones Ralphy are releasing, say without libraries to explain the significant difference in size (139K vs 4M). I think I'll go with Man in a vans suggestion until I know more as I don't think Ralphy would spend years working on the player for no good reason. v2k's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71576 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97766 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Try not doing pcp br after issuing the command and run the setup script immediately while things are still owned by tc:staff. Many people use sudo for just about everything but any files handled when a script is run with sudo wil subsequently be owned by root.
