Hi Michael. First of all, thanks for this great plugin! I listen to all four of the FLAC RP streams for hours each day since installing it. However, recently I began seeing "Error: missing string" messages in my server log and was able to track down their origin to selecting "My Apps" from the menu of either of my Android client apps (Squeezer and SqueezeCtrl). I had four apps showing up in the menu at the time and, in trying to track down the source, I found that the error messages disappeared when I uninstalled the RP plugin. Removing any of the others made no difference. As the attached debug log shows, the problem seems to be caused by an extra invalid menu entry being returned by LMS at the beginning of the cometd response, with an invalid icon attribute of "https://www.mysqueezebox.com; and a null string as the text attribute. The table "count" attribute shows 5, which includes the invalid entry. I have double-checked that the problem only occurs when the RP plugin is installed. When removed, the error message is not generated, with the count going to 3 and the invalid entry disappearing. Could it have something to do with how LMS handles app entries of type "redirect" versus "link"? That is the only difference I see in the attributes of the "Radio Paradise" entry vs the others. Any help or insight you can provide would be helpful. I see the Authentication service on my Spotify App but seems it cannot connect correctly : I need some more information to help you. What does not work? Are you able to browse content in LMS/Spotty? From my experience a month ago trying to figure this out, whoever last played on a device is who got to see that device in spotify connect. Now I'm seeing something different altogether where under the plugin, account import, both accounts are showing as the same instead of different names. I tried resetting anything spotty related by removing spotty.prefs and cache/spotty.db* but it didn't seem to make a difference. Maybe I'm really messing up the works. Nevertheless, it does seem to me that it is using the application I'm providing the client ID for, because when I'm at work I still see the device available through spotify connect (on a complete different network). SLX is interested in getting a signal when either the Theme or the Color changes so that it can re-color all its controls accordingly to match. When I use Spotify Connect through Spotty on my Boom it always starts at volume 50, which is quite loud (in my kitchen). Is there a way to configure this default volume? Are you using the latest Spotty v4.6? The strange thing is I can’t think of anything I have actively changed. I have had the problem that the spotty app failed with the “failure to get access token” error for some time (but so instead I have been playing over AirPlay). It seems this was because no helper app could be found. But now I wanted to fix that. That’s when I installed the legacy helper and this new strange problem turned up. Oh, hold on: the Legacy ARM helper or the Pi0 Helper? If not the latter, get rid of the former and try the Pi0 one. I have too many helper plugins... Did something change in the last few weeks/months that could cause this? Yes, 4.5 broke compatibility with the first generation Pi (should not have called it Pi0, it's misleading. So that helper would install the pre 4.5 binaries, which were working just fine. One thing that’s strange to me is that spotty suggest using the armv8 helper app, but AFAIK my Raspberry Pi model armv6. Is it possible LMS/Spotty is mistaking the architecture of the server and this is causing problems? That message probably is misleading. Weird! It's probably the case. LMS does this ramp down/up on all players that are not "baby/fab4" (for these two, it's managed by the player). You might not see that due to timing issues as bridges need to "translate" volume requests. But I can disable ramp-down in RaopBridge as I did in UPnPBridge/CastBridge and only keep ramp-up. The OS is Code: Raspbian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) . Also starting a new track gives the same strange noise. The strange thing is I cant think of anything I have actively changed. I have had the problem that the spotty app failed with the failure to get access token error for some time (but so instead I have been playing over AirPlay). It seems this was because no helper app could be found. But now I wanted to fix that. Thats when I installed the legacy helper and this new strange problem turned up. Did something change in the last few weeks/months that could cause this? One thing thats strange to me is that spotty suggest using the armv8 helper app, but AFAIK my Raspberry Pi model armv6. Is it possible LMS/Spotty is mistaking the architecture of the server and this is causing problems?
