Use either of the following for your location: 37830:4:US USTN0370:1:US 4 = US zip code 1 = Weather station ID To display SDT weather information on the right-hand display of your Transponder you can create a "custom mode". To do this: -Navigate to the Player tab in LMS settings web interface. -Select your Transporter in the first pull down. -Select SuperDateTime in the second pull down. -Scroll down and click the "Add Custom Mode" button. -Use the any of the macro variables from the TIME/WEATHER FORMAT STRINGS section of the same setting page to create a custom display of the SDT information you want to see. -Entries in "Line 1 & 2 format string (display 2)" will show on the right-hand display on your Transporter. If I had, I wouldn't be writing here. In fact I've been listening to music on my amazing Squeezebox systems whilst sadly reading about aggression, anger and hate throughout this world. My Squeezebox systems have performed almost faultlessly for years and I update plugins semi-automatically and usually without issue. However, I have one more question. What about playlists ending *.sql.values.xml ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SuperDateTime Screensaver v5.11.0 - Date/Time/Weather/Sports/Stocks
Thanks a lot for your very detailed post. Things seem to be working now. The custom clock helper was missing. The addition of :1:GR behind the location ID helped, too. The screensaver SDT Weather Celsius works fine on the Radios. On the Touch time and date are a running belt which I do not like. Is it possible to stop it? Again thanks for your instruction. They are all *.sql.xml Created years ago for Erlands plugins, and added to via "cloning", but seamlessly integrated into DPL3 until very recently. The fact that this problem has been replicated on two pCP LMS servers and one Ubuntu LMS and shown to be immediately after the latest DPL3 plugin update, suggests the problem is with the plugin ChipMonk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40072 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115501 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlists 3 - get help with your custom playlists
You'll have to provide more information: error messages from the log, DPL3 version, LMS version, the code, file name and extension of a dynamic playlist that's not working... ChipMonk wrote: > that the plugin will only accept these playlists in the "root" Playlists > folder. So are we talking about *static/standard/saved* playlists (common file extensions: m3u, m3u8...) or *dynamic* playlists (file extension: "*.sql*", *not* ".xml.sql" or some other variation) *Custom* *_dynamic_* playlists have to be placed in the -DPL-custom-lists- subfolder. *_Static_* playlist can be placed *anywhere* in the LMS playlists folder, even in nested subfolders. So which are talking about? Anyway, I haven't been able to reproduce your problem with DPL 3.6.10 so far. On updating, all my favourites again stopped functioning. On each of my LMS set-ups (Ubuntu and pCP) I had moved my sql playlists into the DPL-custom-lists and they had worked just fine - until today. So something has clearly changed such that the plugin will only accept these playlists in the "root" Playlists folder. I'm not looking forward to having to make all these changes in several more LMS setups I have for myself and family members. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SuperDateTime Screensaver v5.11.0 - Date/Time/Weather/Sports/Stocks
Hi Paytheprice, I managed to setup SDT last August and there were some nuisances to the process. Let me share my notes (it is a matchup of comments from posts in this forum and my own experience) with you in the hope it helps you. Regarding problems with location, my location Id for weather.com is SPXX0401:1:SP. I had difficulty because the suggested source would only provide part of the location Id "SPXX0401" and had to guess the need to add ":1:" + country code == IN THE PLAYER: License manager is not needed for Custom Clock or Custom Clock Helper. Custom Clock is installed from Jivelite. Settings|Advanced|Applet Installer Make sure you backup the settings on pCP after installing. Repository URL below possibly outdated *** To install CustomClock from there, you need to put the repository link into the LMS settings/plugins additional repositories http://superdatetimewu.sourceforge.net/CC_JL_repo.xml This points to the modified CustomClock applet which will run on the piCorePlayer jivelite. * CustomClock is showing up under Extras 1. Goto Settings/Screen/Screensavers/Custom Clock Settings/Config #x (and configure it in one of the Custom Clock slots) 2. Goto Settings/Screen/Screensavers/When off (And select the above Custom Clock slot which you have configured with a SDT screen saver) I checked my Jivelite - it's installed at: /home/tc/.jivelite/userpath/applets There's a directory there called "CustomClock" with all the .lua files installed below that. IN LMS: Install SuperDateTime and CustomClock Helper plugins. Custom Clock Helper is needed to install the template. Installation (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?112122-Announce-SuperDateTime-Screensaver-v5-11-0-Date-Time-Weather-Sports-Stocks) If necessary, to install the SDT plugin add the following repository URL to the "Additional Repositories" section at the bottom of the plugins page in LMS. After clicking "Apply" SuperDateTime Screensaver will be available for selection. Select SDT and click apply again. After restarting LMS SuperDateTime is available for use. Basic Setup Begin by navigating to LMS->Advanced Settings->SuperDateTime Screensaver. Set your location in the WEATHER.COM IDENTIFIER field. Pay attention to the format used. If an invalid format is entered, SDT will revert to the default location for Chicago, IL USA = 60614:4:US (Caldes = SPXX0401:1:SP ) https://weather.codes/ is a good resource to find the identifier for your location. Additional settings are available at the player level for Boom, SB Classic, and Transporter players. Navigate to LMS->Player->SuperDateTime for these settings. Touch/Radio/Controller setup For Touch, Radio, and Controller the Custom Clock applet should be loaded using the menus on the player or controller. Several Custom Clock screensavers that include SDT information are available after loading the Custom Clock applet. You can customize the Custom Clock screens or create your own screens through the Custom Clock Helper (CCH) plugin. The Custom Clock applet and Custom Clock Helper plugin were created by Erland. Refer to Erland's thread https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?68269-Announce-Custom-Clock-applet-for-Touch-Radio-Controller for more information and community support for Custom Clock and Custom Clock Helper. SDT Repository URL http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/sdt-weather-com/repo.xml or https://netcologne.dl.sourceforge.net/project/sdt-weather-com/repo.xml Did you set SDT as your screensaver on the Player tab Basic Settings? Remember there are settings for SDT under both the advanced and player tabs. Make sure you backup the settings on pCP after installing. If no styles available for CustomClock in the player, go to Custom Clock Helper app and edit some style to ensure box jivelite800X480" is checked off and click apply. waldo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19888 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112122 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Apparently my post was removed somehow so let's try again. I am quite new to LMS and am trying to install the community firmware but my player is not seeing it. I am running LMS 8.3.0 - 66147463 and have installed the plugin and then went to the settings to to enable the plugin. I have changed player.firmware to debug but I do not see my player checking for an update. In LMS I have update checking enabled. Do I just need to wait longer? Is there a way to force it to check for updates? The button in LMS to check does not appear to trigger a check from the player. Maybe I can do it via ssh? Thanks in advance! I changed player.firmware to debug but I do not see the radio checking for it. The first post mentions that we need to have check for update enabled, where is that setting? Maybe that is my issue. If you create your own custom *dynamic* playlists (SQLite code), this subfolder is where you place them so that DPL3 picks them up. I don't know how your *static* (standard) playlists ended up in that subfolder. DPL3 -never- moves playlist files around, neither static nor dynamic. But glad everything seems to be working again. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SuperDateTime Screensaver v5.11.0 - Date/Time/Weather/Sports/Stocks
Hi all, I have my LMS running on a Raspberry Pi4 with a pCP. I have four radios, a SB Touch and a DIY Touch based on a pCP. I wanted to get SuperDateTime running for the first time. I followed the instruction on side 1. Plugin is running and accessible via browser and LMS. I have added the location id for wunderground and German language settings. I cannot configure the location id for my locaton. It always stays 60614:4:US. Second problem is, that i cannot add it as a custom screensaver. I can see SuperDatetime on the SB Touch I am using for the first configuration under "Extras" and I can see Custom Clocks there, too. If I touch SDT, the weather for my location by Wunderground is indicated, for weather.com it is Chicago, which i undstand, because I was not able to change the ID. Question 1: Can I simply use only the weather data from Wunderground alone, which I prefere? Question 2: How can I configure SDT as a custom screensaver. I have ten options but I cannot configure them. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlists 3 - get help with your custom playlists
OK I've sorted it. All my playlists were in a DPL-custom-lists folder. I'm sure this must have been specified in the move to DPL3. For reasons unknown, they were no longer being "discovered". I copied them all over to the base Playlists folder and then went through all the enabling and making DPL favourites then LMS favourites. A bit of a nuisance. All appears to be working again. I've just checked and this "glitch" does not appear to have occurred on my pCP backup server - greatly relieved! I'd still like to know whether or not the glitch was at my end or some change in DPL3 Thanks ChipMonk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40072 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115501 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Dynamic Playlists 3 - get help with your custom playlists
I am a very long term user of Squeezebox. I continue to use playlists using my own on-board flac collection. I had no problems moving over to DL3 but suddenly most of my Favourites are not working This one works: dynamicplaylist://sqlplaylist_randomRock Those of this type no longer work: dynamicplaylist://dplusercustom_HarryNilssonMix I have not been tinkering in this area for a long time so can only think that I've missed something with plugin updates. I have a lot on my plate in other areas right now and just want my music to help me relax and not to add to problems. If anyone can shed light on what may have changed and what is the easiest way to get back my favourites I would be most grateful. I suspect some folder changes but I can no longer remember where all this stuff is (Ubuntu 20.4 server LMS latest 8.3 Thanks ChipMonk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40072 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115501 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin
Beta 0.0.26g - Add vrt.be - track titles already shown - this adds cover art (coversearch) plus programme name and image The broadcaster was already including track info within the streamed metadata in a way that LMS could use (at least the Shoutcast streams). The plugin ignores that data and gets the track and programme information from the same place as the broadcaster's web site. They seem to be good at providing updated data in a timely fashion. I have an issue to resolve for "Radio 2" ... so for now am linking to the "Radio 2 Amsterdam" stream for that one. It is using the broadcasters station logos and they are very big so can be a delay in showing them as they go through the LMS image proxy (which also generates a few warnings sometimes ... but they work). 23 stations.
