Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Tweet now playing
my aim is really the last option there. to occasionally Tweet what i'm listening to out to Twitter like i occasionally post it to facebook not to have a constant 'ticker' of what's playing going out Glen -- Harani Harani's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=92814 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Tweet now playing
ok so i can post to Facebook what i'm currently listening to directly from my squeezebox. Is there an app to do the same to Twitter ? If you still have the squeezecenter-* folder, rename this one to squeezecenter. Restart your machine and you should be up and running ...I'd still like to understand what's going on here. What version of FreeNAS are you using? Michael Hi Michael, I'm running 0.685. not the most current but it's been nice and stable so i've not felt any need to upgrade. I'll try what you suggest when i get home tonight. (Though i think i have tried this before but maybe not with the most recent versions) Is there much of a difference in resource requirements between slimserver and squeezecenter do you know ?. I note you reccomend 256MB memory. I don't recall, was that the same for Slimserver ? My machine has been running for ages with one 128MB stick and 64MB stick with slimserver v6.54 and ran great. Will i need to upgrade to 256MB just to get Squeezecenter to run up ? thanks for your help on this regard Glen -- Harani Harani's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40159 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

(Uploading right now...) -- Michael Hi Michael, I'm afraid it's still doing the same thing. unpacking recursivly I also dowloaded Squeezecentre 7.1 in case the archive was in somne way corrupt and that was causing it but got the same problem I went back to version 0.99 and that doesn't unpack any of the files recursively. it does create a squeezecenter directory but doesn't populate it with anything. I don't have a 0.999 or 0. to try as they got overwritten. Would it be possible to get hold of a copy of slimnas that will handle slimserver v6.54 just so i can get back up and running for now please ? -- Harani Harani's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40159 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SlimNAS 0.9 Beta forSqueezeCenter 7.0
I've been following this thread beacuse i've been having problems getting Squeezecentre to run under Slimnas. Initially the problem was the the Squeezecenter folder was empty. So i've just just removed everything and gone back to download the latest versions of Slimnas, the slimnas installer script and the Squeezecenter software Starting with a FreeNAS witn no slimnas install, I put the intsaller and the slimnas.tgz file under */mnt/music/slimnas* as i always have. Then ran the command /BIN/SH /MNT/MUSIC/SLIMNAS/SLIMNAS-INSTALL.SH it reported that squeezecenter had been added to the menu in FreeNAS. So far so good. Then i put the *squeezecenter-noCPAN.tgz* file in */mnt/music/slimnas* The Squeezecente menu (which was set to look in */mnt/music/slimnas*) saw it and gave an option of keep existing or select squeezecenter-noCPAN.tgz selected that file and hit save. watching the share it created the following folders VAR ETC USR SQUEEZECENTER SQUEEZECENTER-7.0-17793-NOCPAN then i went into the Squeezecenter folder to see what it was creating in there and it was populating that folder with an exact duplicate of the folder above it. var, etc, usr, squeezecenter and squeezecenter-7.0-17793-noCPAN went into that squeezecenter folder and it was polulating that too, and the one below it etc. it managed to nest itself approx 20 deep before i rebooted the machine to stop it. So i think the new Slimnas has a recursive problem when unpacking the files ? -- Harani Harani's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40159 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] plugin conversion from v5.0 to v6.1b2 ? (videobox)
Been using videobox for some time now but recently moved my Slimserver setup onto a FreeNAS server. It's serving out music ok but i cannot get Slimserver to see the videobox plugin. It doesn' appear in the plugins list. Anyone know if it's possible to get Videobox working under Unix ? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: plugin conversion from v5.0 to v6.1b2 ? (videobox)
Anyone got Videobox runnnig sucessfully on 6.3 or later ? I had to drop back to 6.3 as 6.5 was causing me no end of problems. I've got my system stable again but videobox won't work. i know it's not the player or my network connections as i can run it on any of my machines using the VB-remote on any of my other machines. It's only the Squeezebox that won't find a running instance of VBplayer on the network so i have to conclude the plugin is at fault. -- Harani Harani's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=15090 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Weblogger and Albumart
Even though i have weblogger set to upload thumbnails it is uploading full resolution artwork. I assume it's something to do with the way slimserver is handling album artwork. in the weblogger settings it says -These types can be configured from within slim server's configuration pages, and WebLogger will pull these graphics from where you have configured in slim server- But i cannot find the configuration page it refers to the only place that refers to artwork i can find is home server settings interface where i have set the thumbnails size as 100 -- Harani Harani's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4290 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22520 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
