Are you sure you have your domain names correctly set on pihole ?

Mine seems to work fine My player asks for the address of the server
only occasionally

Whats is the output from

Code:

pihole -t | grep -B 4 -A 4

Hi Markii

If the AMP HAT uses the same chip (TAS5756M) as the AMP+ then I'd be
fairly certain the gain control is digital.
The TAS has a wide range digital gain control but I see no mention of an
attenuator in the analogue domain in the datasheet.

Hope this helps

I have the same (or similar problem) The SL-X Icon used to stay in the
taskber fine in Windows 10
However with Windows 11 every now and then I have to drag it back even
with "show all icons" enabled (Maybe after an update ?)
Have never seen the LMS-Like icon though

Sounds like the Pi can do 192kHz but the card or speakers can't.

You can limit the max rate that picoreplayer can use under squeezelite

I put wsdd.py into /home/tc you'll need a pcp bu to store it.

You'll need to run the command line I used but you can put it in a
script and auto run at start by using the web gui

Thats probably when SMBv1 was turned off by default in Windows and with
it netbios name resolution

This may be the time to ask the devs for a WSD daemon using the "Netbios

Cannot seem to find WSDD (Web Service Discovery Daemon) in Picore though

I ran up a pCP instance to test what you'd found and it works
perfectly.

Clean installed latest pCP v8.1.0 minimal addition of file systems and
samba and then set up

1TB WD Blue formatted NTFS on windows 10 via USB

Run "pcp bu" through ssh or terminal

This will not survive an upgrade though.

You don't need to manually change anything in smb.conf to make it work
though

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SMB share only giving me ~1GB out of 931GB Win10 <-> RPi4 pCP

2022-02-27 Thread Jeff07971

Samba on pCP does not use WSD (Web Service Discovery)

Windows 10 does not use netbios to identify SMB shares it uses WSD

Simplest way round this is to do \\ in windows
explorer rather than netbios name
You can add to quick access or map a drive if you want to make a
permanent link in windows

You need change NOTHING in windows from a defualt install to use this

By experimentation I've found LMS does exactly this, will play Qobuz at
the lowest common denominator for bitrate and depth.

I posted here a problem I'm having,
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?115077-Problems-with-RadioNet-since-yesterday-or-the-day-before=1032122=1#post1032122
reposting it here as it seems a better place to post:

I have a problem playing anything (I usually listen to) from RadioNet

I have several stations in my favourites when I press one to play
nothing happens.

I have turned on "Internet Radio" loggin set and added debug on RadioNet
plugin.

I get no errors in the log just:

Code:

  [21-09-02 13:24:56.8346] Slim::Networking::Async::DNS::resolve (43) Using
cached DNS response 104.26.5.64 for www.radio.net

- https://www.radio.net/s/hirschmilch-chillout type=STATION

can play https://www.radio.net/s/hirschmilch-chillout from a browser
fine

I also notice that the "Reliable (HTTPS)" plugin is now incompatble with
my version (below) of LMS is this anything to do with RadioNet not
playing ?

I'm not sure its a network (WAN) problem and I'm sure its not an

noticed it since.

Adding ",leds_off=true" to the config.txt does indeed kill the LEDs on a
DAC+

Code:

dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus

Is already inserted by the picoreplayer squeezelite settings so complete
line is

Code:

dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus,leds_off=true

 NOTE NO Spaces !

I have seen tests at 24/44 so I think it is safe to assume that the SB3
can do 24/44 or 24/48 in this case Qobuz should still work on the 24/48
file I found as it does on pCP

http://archimago.blogspot.com/2013/02/measurements-slim-devices-logitech.html

Sean Adams (we're not worthy) said in a forum post "It does NOT support
24/96, period."

I found a 24/48 Album on Qobuz but it will not play on SB3 at 24/48

34545

Code:

  Plugins::Qobuz::Reporting::_post (147)
http://www.qobuz.com/api.json/0.2/track/reportStreamingStart?app_id=942852567:
events=[{"online":true,"duration":0,"local":false,"credential_id":"1041138","format_id":7,"device_id":"28108269","sample":false,

Plays at the advertised 24/48 on pCP

It looks like SB3's only get the CD Quality stream, I'm not sure if this

If when you say Smpsu 600rs you mean the connexelectronix SMPSU600RS
they have a control input which you can drive from GPIO, it'll need a
little circuitry but about the same as an EM relay would.

Possibly use an SSR these can be driven direct from RPi's GPIO quite
expensive but really simple.

RS has a 16A SSR for £16 which I've used before and works well.

If you're not an expert be careful with mains voltages or SMPSU's they
can bite HARD

Use a keyboard plugged into the Pi, I use a usb wireless keyboard for

For more general use I use an IR remote (IR-Keytables) but if you are

You've discovered 2 of the three "Dont's" of powerline networking !

They must connect directly to an electrical outlet – Powerline adapters
don’t work properly when connected to surge protectors, power strips, or
UPS units.

Avoid power outlets managed by AFCI and GFCI breakers – Arc-fault
circuit interrupter (AFCI) and Ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
breakers can reduce performance by up to 50%.

They shouldn’t share the same outlet with devices that produce
electrical “noise” – These devices include chargers, SMPSU's fluorescent
lights, and other noise making electric appliances.

I also played quite a few tracks tonight from Youtube at 48KHz, they
were not transcoded/resampled to play on my pCP

like saying why do we have Cars when we have Trucks

Having one player is Volumio's strong point, having central control of
more than one is LMS's

I think the first step in the troubleshooting is :- Is the localplayer
plugin what you think it is ?

The localplayer plugin provides a player on the LMS server hardware, in
your case the NAS, Does the NAS have audio outputs ?

If you want a client for the LMS on your PC I'd recommend Squeezelite-X
(A Free download from the Microsoft Store)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Display a webpage

2019-08-12 Thread Jeff07971

This maybe what Michael was referring to but to can run raspian for
Magicmirror
Then switch to Jivelite on fullscreen when the player is on.
You could probably do this using the cli and a script

Would need more than a noob to do it though I suspect

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?

2019-04-07 Thread Jeff07971

Hi

I have a problem with Mixcloud playing on my SB3's when I play on
piCorePlayer all works fine.
I think this is a decode/transcode problem as the server.log has this
:-

Code:

  [19-04-07 21:50:57.4752] Slim::Player::Song::open (410) Error: Couldn't
create command line for mp4 playback for
[mixcloud://analogtrip/analog-trip-edm-underground-showcase-25-feb-2016-estradiogr/]
  [19-04-07 21:50:57.4755] Slim::Player::StreamingController::_playersMessage
(789) Problem: Unable to play file type for::
mixcloud://analogtrip/analog-trip-edm-underground-showcase-25-feb-2016-estradiogr/

I have tried the convert.conf options earlier in this thread to no
avail, anyone got any ideas ?

Thanks

I see this behaviour though its rather odd !

Powering on the player does not produce an indication on the meter
Playing prduces indication as expected
Pausing produces indication even if volume is 0 (Via SLX GUI)

Starting again with volume at zero produces no indication re pausing
produces indication again.

Powering off the player removes the indication

If I Turn up all the audio gains to full I cannot hear any audio output

As Django Says its worth checking though usually this is already setup
and is transparent to the user.

When connected (I take it you are ? You can check in the OpenVPN app)
have you tried scanning your 192.168.1.0/24 network with an app like
