Whenever Multi-Library needs configuring the instructions in the Wikis go something like this: - 1. Got Multi Library in the web interface (you will find it under the Extras section in the main Home menu (not in settings pages)) It took me too long to find where to go - I recommend that the wording is changed to something like: - 1. Erland Thanks - Soloist does not show up Soloist in a way is just my attempt to find people who are not the Album Artist, but the Track Artist only This is great for finding people who have a track on a Various Artists compilation For example, I have no Albums by Fats Domino, yet I have some tracks by him that show up on a few different albums and it would be nice to play all music (my own compilation album if you like!) that I have by Fats Domino from whichever album it was originally recorded In Addition, I want to keep the Composer, Conductor, Band/Orchestra tags out of the Artists listing - a setting in My Music in the LMS web interface This avoids the clutter of Composers (who are often neither the Artist nor the Track Artist) muddled up with the people playing the music In this way, I do not have to go to the effort of tagging my music with Custom tags - I can just use what is already there from ripping my CD's with dbPowerAmp :) So what I need to do is to search separately for Album Artist from Track Artist - is this possible? This is obviously a very successful thread with 140 pages! I have access to all of Erland's plugins is there any information available that can save me time in this respect? 1. What order is the best Installation Order for the Plug Ins - any dependencies? 2. Any Configuration settings for one plug in that affect other plug ins? I have been following these instructions almost verbatim - Setup browse menu for classical music - http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Setup_browse_menu_for_classical_music To avoid typing errors, I have copied and pasted from the wiki to the set up pages Custom Scan set up I presume that I did this correctly Multi-Library set up two libraries Classical - It shows that there are 15 songs - Classical music is selected by belonging to two selected genres - 15 songs is the correct total Non-Classical - It shows there are 127 songs - Selected by ticking all other genres except for the two selected in Classical Custom Browse Menus following the wiki Structure looks good All Classical menus do not list any contents - no Artists, Genres, Composers, etc. Custom Browse Menus set up by me called Composers This lists all of the Composers from both Libraries simultaneously whatever the Genre So a couple of Questions 1. For what reason are the Classical Custom Browse not showing anything but the Composers Custom Browse is providing a full list? 2. If Classical is the selected Library, should only classical music be shown in all menus including the LMS standard ones? Extract of wiki here Downloading and sharing menus Custom Browse provides a way to download and share menu definitions with other users, this is used in a number of different ways: The latest version of the builtin menu type are always available for download, this means that instead of waiting for a new official release of Custom Browse you can download a new menu directly after it has been corrected by the developer. A user can choose to publish/share a menu he has made himself, after publishing this menu will be available for download for all other users When publishing/sharing a menu you have the following options You can choose to register, the advantage with this is that other users will see that you are the author for the menu so you will get some credit for it. It is also a way to make sure that no one else can modify your shared menu. You register by selecting on of the Publish links and then selecting Register Login in the Custom Browse web interface in your SqueezeCenter. You can choose to publish a menu anonymously, this way you don't need to provide any information about yourself but it also means that other persons can update and modify the shared menu. The recommendation is that you register when publishing menus but its still better that you publish a menu anonymously than not publish it at all. I have installed the latest LMS, Custom Browse and Custom Scan in the last week I have followed the instructions from beginning to end in the wiki entitled: - Setup support for custom tags http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Setup_support_for_custom_tags On completing these instructions, all devices were rebooted: LMS Server, Touch and PC running SqueezePlayer Clear Library and Scan Everything was carried out Scan All in Custom Scan was carried out Reboot of all devices I substituted Publisher for Performer throughout Mp3tag showed that the Publisher tag is populated Dataset of only 3 Albums in Library (quick testing) The Publisher Menu shows under My Music 2 Problems 1. The contents (no Albums listed) are missing when clicking on Publisher 2.
