Also I have installed LMS / Squeeze2Cast on a laptop connected to the same part of the network as my WHS machine. The CCA was detected by Squeeze2cast and I could cast to the CCA. So that seems to narrow things down to installation LMS 7.9 / Squeeze2cast on the WHS operating system. The firewall is off on the WHS machine, I've rebooted WHS, reinstalled LMS 7.9 and the Squeeze2Cast plugin unfortunately still won't detect the CCA. After the restart of the LMS I found some messages in the LMS log but nothing about squeeze2cast but could it be the problem? As far as I can tell from the logging Squeeze2Cast seems to be working but just not discovering my Chromecast audio. But I use Sitecom Homeplugs (connected to the router via electricity net ) to provide Wfi in the house, could this cause a problem for Squeeze2cast? The WHS is wired to the network but the Chromecast uses Wifi. Do you know if the method you have used in the plugin for discovery of the Chromecast differs to Google's add-in for the Chrome browser? Hope I'm not breaking any etiquette by posting a new question on this thread .. I'm trying to get Squeeze2cast to work on my HP media server running WHS v1 unfortunately LMS is not finding my Chromecast audio unit. I have tried installing and reinstalling LMS and the Squeeze2Cast plugin but with no sucess. I have temporarily turned off the firewall on the WHS to rule that out. Google Chrome on my PC detected the CCA and had no problems casting so I installed Chrome (and Chromecast plugin) on the WHS and could cast music from the browser to the CCA without problems. Anyone have ideas on how troubleshoot the problem with LMS? I would really appreciate any help.
