Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotify only plays first six minutes of a track then skips to next track in album

With Ogg disabled, Spotty (or LMS?) will transcode the Ogg-Stream to FLAC - this is the 'old behaviour' of the Spotty-Plugin, the ability to play Ogg natively was introduced not so long ago... Unfortunately, I (again) experience the same behaviour on my Windows 10-LMS. The problem was gone for a while, today I listened to Mahler, after around 8 Minutes it skipped to the next movement... I did this Client-ID thing, btw. I reinstalled the latest Win 10 image available from Microsoft + the latest updates & kept myself from performing any 'tweaks' on the system :-) No more skipping, even with ogg-enabled! Today I narrowed the skipping-behaviour by noting down some skip-times and I enabled Information Logging for Spotty. I started the listening session at 14:17. The first skip appeared at 14:21, the second skip I experienced at 14:32, these are exact times... Probably the server.log can give some information? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.4 - more personalised content
Hi! The old skipping problem is back again System: Windows 10 Pro / latest Logitech Media Server / latest Spotty... the tracks randomly skip at about position 5min to 8min to the next track, wth absolutely no pause after the skip... This happens on my Touch & Squeezeboxes, SB Receiver I did not check... I use Spotify Connect Mode. Last year I solved the problem by disabling ogg for Spotty in File Type Settings... now this doesnt help anymore... I also tried PCM-only (no FLAC), that did help for a day, then the problem reoccured. At least the problem doesnt seem to be bandwith-related? There is a pattern, could it be a kind of faulty query between Spotty and Spotify? It seems to me as if not enough stream data gets cached by Spotty, sorry for my amateurish guessing Thank you so much for your work!! The things that happen with Windows-Update are strange these days - MS doesn't even guarantee that their newest update installs properly :-)... I'm running Win10Pro on a fanless Acer-Laptop, probably I should give Linux a try... Hope I get the Desktop-Remote-Thing done, cause I want to use the Laptop 'headless'...
