I uninstalled LMS and Perl, installed Perl 5.24, but now I have no LMS
available for DS216play with STM Monaco STiH412 processor.

Is there anyone out there who has already done the installation and
saved the spk file???
Is there any other source for pinkdots files?

HELP! I want my music back!!!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller

2020-07-09 Thread boxer

Hi,

finally I managed RSS Text Feed to show some parameters of my heater on
the squeezebox touch screen.
I also included a time stamp information. Therefore I recognized that
the screen is updated automatically only every full hour and every half
hour unless the data field "interval" is filled with "5".

Could anybody please explain how to set the interval for refreshing the
screen to 5 minutes?
What is the data field "refreshinterval" for?

Is there any explanation on what all the fields for the itemtype rsstext
are for? ("noofrows" and others)
The value for the field "interval" - does it mean minutes or seconds or
something else ...?

Thanks in advance!

OK, it took me only about 6h to find out that every time I enter a
syntax error into Custom Clock Helper RSS Text Feed forms I have to
reboot the Squeezebox touch.

In betweentime I succeeded in displaying %title and %description on the
screen. :o

I failed in trying to display also other RSS parametes like %copyright,
%language. Is this not implemented?

Can anyone help?

it stopped working and I am not able to restart.
I did it all again - starting from Erlands template, putting in your
link, and so on - this time again without success.
Is there any time-dependant factor? Do I have to change "interval" or is
there any initialisation procedure that I am missing?

??? :(

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller

2020-06-21 Thread boxer

With the help of BoomX2 I finally succeeded in displaying RSS Feed Text
on my Squeezebox touch.

My intention is to display own data on the screen like pool temperature,
current household electricity consumption, operating parameters of the
heating, etc.

My idea is to have an xml file on my NAS which is fed automatically with
my data.
RSS Feed Text within Custom Clock Applet should read out the file in
order to display the information on the Squeezebox screen.

At the moment I need some information on how should the structure of the
xml file be
and which parameters have to be used within Custom Clock Helper for the
right setup.
Is there any manual für the parameter setup? I learned that the field
format can be filled with %title and %description. Are there some more
options?

Does the entry in the field url always have to start with http:// ?
I already learned from BoomX2 that https:// is not possible.
But can I also use some local address like
\\192.168.xxx.xxx\RSS\Mydata.xml ?

Did anybody do something like this before?
Can somebody provide me with a working example as a Custom Clock Helper
export file?

Thank you in advance!

Hello BoomX2,
that's exactly how I started my try. I also inserted your bbc link
yesterday, unfortunately without success.
But - for what reason ever - today it works! - Thank you! Now I can go
one step further.

I will proceed within the Custom Clock Section as you suggested:

Hello BoomX2,
thank you for your quick reply!

I changed my "http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/business; into
"http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml?edition=int;
unfortunately with the same result.

Could you eventually also share a working Custom Clock Helper export
file?

I am afraid it could be necessary for me to get deeper into RSS...?

Do you think it's possible to provide own data inside an xml file which
can be displayed on the touch?

I will transfer the topic to the other thread as you suggested.

Regards

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SuperDateTime Screensaver v5.11.0 - Date/Time/Weather/Sports/Stocks

2020-06-20 Thread boxer

Hi,
SuperDateTime is really great and offers a lot of nice options! I
configured my personal weather screen for my touch devices and really
love the skin.

Now I'd like to display some more individual information on the screen.
As far as I understood the option "RSS Text Feed" should be useful for
that purpose.
Unfortunately I don't get it to work. I really spent a lot of time to
try and searched the forums as well as I googled a lot.
Using custom clock helper I am able to activate the RSS Text Feed as a
screensaver on my touch but all I see is the clock.
I found the information that the example RSS feed "allmusic.com" is no
longer valid
but I don't get any other RSS feed to work in order to display any
information on my touch display.
I also tried to create an own xml file saved locally on my NAS and
pointed on that but also without success.
Somewhere I found the hint to avoid an empty fontsize field. So I put in
20.

Has anybody RSS Text Feed running and could help me, e.g. with an
example configuration or an example RSS feed http which is working
fine?

Is there any other way to display own data like pool temperature, power
consumption, parameters from my heater, etc. on the touch screen?
