[SlimDevices: Plugins] Spicefly Sugarcube on Raspberry Pi using Dynamic Path Conversion
I recently installed LMS 7.9.2 on a new Raspberry Pi 4. Thank you much, Paul, that worked! However, the skill is only recognizes my Radio and not my Touch. When I ask her what are my players, she only mentions the Radio. I needed to re-install SB and downloaded version 7.7 from logitech's site and then immediately upgraded to 7.9 When I tried install any of erlands plug-ins it would not install (similar response as other people have described). Installing other plug-ins worked fine. Then I decided to start from scratch (again) but this time download and install 7.7 only and then try installing erland's plug-ins. No problem! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Success: MusicIP and Spicefly Sugarcube running on Raspberry Pi
I know this is a bit off-topic in this thread, but I wasn't sure where to post this question. [SlimDevices: Plugins] running MusicIP on MacOS
I've just received a MacBook and was curious about running Squeezebox and specifically MusicIP under MacOS (after running these on Windows 7 and Windows 10 without any problems). I was able to get SB going fairly quickly on the MacBook but I am having a very difficult time with MusicIP. I have the service running fine and added songs to the library. However, I cannot get MIP to analyze any of the tracks. It keeps saying it cannot connect to the server. I know that a few years ago the servers were shutdown, but I am still able to get the analysis working either thru the GUI or the Web option. On the Mac, I keep getting the error on the GUI. I even tried using the GenPUID program, but still got bad connection error. Has anyone been able to get this going on their MacOS environment? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Erlands commercial plugins available for free
Hi- Now that you've made your plug-ins available for free (thank you!) I've started to use the Trackstat and Custom Scan plugins in order to import the MusicIP playcounts into the SB database. It seems to run fine when I run the MusicIP Statistics Import Scan in the Custom Scan window. However, the only way I can check if the scan ran successfully, is when I run the Trackstat statistics in the web control window and request the Show Most Played listing. Unfortunately, when I compare this list to the MusicIP listing of the most playcount, they don't match. Is there something that I'm doing or looking at wrong? Is there a way to see play counts of individual tracks within SB? I have a few hundred tracks that echonest is not recognizing. I know some have crappy tags associated with them, but quite a few are tracks from CDs that I've ripped via dbPowerAmp so I know their tags should be correct. And, no, these are npt compilations or Best Of that might throw it off, they're pretty simple one-artist or group types of tracks. Thank you for your assistance. I've solved the problem which is...it was working fine the entire time! I am trying to figure out how I can use Multi Library with Custom Browse so that when I click on My Music it will give me a choice of whether I want to listen to my iTunes songs or whether I want to listen to my MusicIp songs. Is this possible? I've played around quite a bit with both plug-ins (ML and CB) but cannot get it set up the way I described. Any help? [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP confusion
I've been playing around with SBS and the MusicIP plug-in for my Touch for a few weeks and I thought everything was scanning properly, but then I noticed the following: My MIP library contains 2519 mixable tracks When I scan the library via the SBS using the setting Import all song data from MusicIP (slower) it completes successfully with the statistics matching the number of tracks, 2519. When I scan via the SBS using the setting Only read mixable status from MusicIP (faster) it completes successfully but says there are only 2249 tracks. Although the second method is much faster, why is it not picking up all the tracks from my MIP library? -- dbinder101 dbinder101's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36997 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79358 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spicefly SugarCube 2.5 - Taking MusicIP up a notch
After using SugarCube for a few days I have the following observations: 1) The mixes seems to be more random than using the MIP plug-in. I've been using MusicIP for a number of years and I am constantly amazed on the smooth flow of the songs it chooses. However, when I use SugarCube it seems to choose songs in a much more random fashion. I have the same settings for SC and MIP as far as Mix style and Mix variety. Could it be that I'm not setting some of the other variables properly? 2) After playing more than 6 tracks, the title of the screen that displays the track number of the playlist (Track XX of YY) remains at 6 of 7. 3) When choosing a track to start off SugarCube, I have to specifically says Play at End. Otherwise, it will start with the track I chose and play all the rest of the tracks from the album that the track is from. As a result, SugarCube will use the last track of the album as the seed rather than the song I chose. So, at this time, I am using the MIP plug-in because I feel it creates better mixes. However, I would love to be able to use SugarCube because I love the idea of just choosing 1 track and for it to create mixes forever without any intervention. -David -- dbinder101 dbinder101's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36997 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78954 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Weather Screensafer for Radio/Touch/Controller
I've just read about this plug-in and it looks great, but I can't seem to find it within the plug-in extension repositories. I even added the URL that was in the first posting but still nothing. I see a plug-in named Weather, date, and Time but I don't see one named Weather Screensafer. Can someone point me on the right direction? Thanks. -- dbinder101 dbinder101's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36997 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73827 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP settings
I got my Touch a few weeks ago and have been enjoying it to no end. Since I am pretty familiar with MusicIP (been using for the past few years), I was grateful that there is a plug-in for SBS and it's been working well. However, there are a few settings in the GUI MIP that I don't see either within the plug-in or maybe it belongs in the mmm.ini file (I'm using the headless MIP). I hope someone can let me know if the following are possible within SBS: 1) Restrict duplicate artists in mix - I was able to specify a number i.e. No duplicates within XX tracks/minutes/megabytes 2) Shuffle - in the GUI you have a choice of how you wish the mix to be created when hitting the Shuffle button: Smooth Shuffle, Random Shuffle, Sawtooth Shuffle, Scan Shuffle, Jagged Shuffle 3) Exclusions - I know you can specify Filters but I was wondering if you can also use the Exclusions options (Don't include songs like this in the mix) Thanks in advance. -- dbinder101 dbinder101's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36997 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78110 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
