Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
New issue (story of my life :) ) When I try to skip during a track, the track restarts from the beginning. Also, when i "send" an already started song to a SB, it plays form the beginning. I only have this issue in OGG. If I set LMS to convert to PCM, skipping is OK and songs are started on SBs at the position there were on the previous playing device. djoole's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40758 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
Looking in the web for how Spotify Connect works, i've found out it uses MDNS protocol for discovering clients. And searching further i've found out my jail wasn't accepting MDNS request. I've activated VNET on the jail and now it works smoothly, every Spotify client at home is seeing every SBs at the same time. :D djoole's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40758 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Mobile phones and tablets are on the same SSID, but not necessarily the same band (2,4GHz or 5GHz) I don't know if it's important. No firewall enabled on the LMS host (FreeNAS). Is there something I can check (networks ports status maybe?), logs? djoole's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40758 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If the phone wasnt on the same network it wouldnt work at all, thats not the case. All 5 squeezebox can be seen on each phone, just not at the same time. Any other idea of what could go wrong? If I switch one SB to the second account, the Sb instantly appear on the Spotify client logged to this account djoole's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40758 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Im afk at the moment. Ive left default settings. Not sure how they are set but sure that announcement is not disabled. Squeezebox are successfully displayed in available devices in each iPhones which are obviously on the same WiFi network than LMS. The issue is not that its impossible to find the SB on the wifes phone. Its that one phone can only find the squeezebox that have the Spotify account activated. If Ive set my account activated on the living-room Receiver, then the squeezebox is available on my Spotify but not hers. If I switch the activated account on the SB, it disappear in my Spotify and appears in hers. Bottom line, we cant throw Spotify music on the squeezebox without having to set the right account first... Actually as I was saying, the squeezebox are selectable on here iphone if her account is toggled in the squeezebox. So the actual problem is : only one of us can send spotify music to a Squeezebox, without having to go to the SB UI (using iPeng on iPhone), toggle account (no WAF at all). djoole's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40758 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks for this quick answer! I use SpottyBinFreeBSD/Bin/spotty-custom (v0.13.0). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
Hi Mickael, I'm really happy, i've just switched from Apple Music to Spotify to use my Squeezebox, and it works like a charm. I still have an issue though (but I can't say if it's important fidelity wise), I can't play Soptify music in direct OGG. It's converting to PCM. I've tried to deactivate conversion in the file format settings : Code: Spotty FLACDisabled (changeable) MP3 Disabled (changeable) Ogg Vorbis Disabled (greyed out) PCM Disabled (changeable) But No sound anymore and following error in the logs : Code: [19-05-25 16:23:37.9726] Slim::Player::Song::open (410) Error: Couldn't create command line for spt playback for [spotify://connect-1558794175129] I guess "Ogg Vorbis" shouldn't be disabled in the settings. Am I missing a specific Perl module? I'm on FreeNAS-11.2-U4.1, LMS 7.9.2, the SB is a Receiver. I haven't tried with others yet (Radios and Booms). djoole's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40758 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
