I need to browse by ARTIST + ALBUMARTIST. For example, I use the composer as ARTIST since many programs do not support composer, and I put the performing group as ALBUMARTIST. I have installed the Additional Browse modes plugin (see attached), In MyArtists, if a track has both ARTIST and ALBUMARTIST tags, it is only listed under ALBUMARTIST. How do I get what I want? In both OFF and Pause, I have date-time displayed on the right screen. But when the sleep times cuts off, the right screen is blank. How did you test this? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Tidal keeps rebuffering
My Tidal plugin, especially at night,starts rebuffering at shorter and shorter intervals, until it is unlistenable. My internet is 120 Mbps download, and I have run ping plotter to tidal during the rebuffering events, and there are no network drops between me and Tidal.com. Everything is hard-wired Ethernet, so there are no WiFi issues. My server is a fast dell runnineap 42.1, ad it has 32GB of memory. So I can only conclude that somehow the Tidal plugin is screwing up. The Tidal apps on my Mac and iPad never have this issue, and they are on the same network. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Auto dim display is unchecked. But each morning, one transporter gets dimmed, and the other Transporter becomes its brightest. This probably explains why autodim was not working for me. I tried to install Auto Dim Display and Settings Manager on my Linux 7.9.0 - 1468928517 server. But they keep appearing unselected at the top of the plugin list under "Updates". I check the boxes for them and restart the server, and after it restarts, they are still unchecked, and I am told to restart the server again. And so on. How do I fix this? [SlimDevices: Plugins] How to install WeatherTime?
The repository for my favorite plugin WeatherTime is no longer working. Hopefully this will be fixed. So I downloaded it (on my Linux Leap 42.1 machine) to /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins and unzipped it there. But it is not seen as a plugin by 7.9. My LMS server is never directly seen by Squeeze clients. I have to manually enter its ip address. But in SqueezePlay, I can't find a way to do this. And it would be nice to have my LMS server seen by clients. I decided to punt, and use my Squeezeserver only on my LAN unencrypted. Externally, I installed Subsonic. Subsonic has a nice Android app and Subair for computers. With SoftSqueeze 3.9b2 on my Lion Mac and 7.6 on Linux, if I play some music, pause SoftSqueeze, and come back to it later, the music plays (I see the vu meter going), but SoftSqueeze does not turn the digital output back on. I can tell that on my speaker controller. So, after mmuch frustration with XM, I got this to work. First of all, XM ripped me off. When they combined streams with Sirius, they cancelled my premium service. It took over a week of waiting for level 2 support to reinstate my premium service, which is only 128kbps anyhow. Radioio is a lot better. But it still would not work. So it turns out that SiriusXM changed their rules again. Even though I followed the advice here and went and changed my user id and passwords, they still would not work. It turns out that BOTH the username and password must have uppercase, lowercase and numbers in them. It this is the case, it is a secret. I changed mine to non-compliant ones with no complaint from their Web site. I surely won't renew online listening when my subscription expires. I spent about 2 weeks total futzing with this. But it still will not work with SoftSqueeze, and in fact hangs it up! There seems to be a problem running more than one copy of SoftSqueeze (on different computers) at once. If you do, they keep losing connection (several times a second) and try to play the same thing! Isn't there a way to be able to do this? I think I installed this screensaver on the advanced/applet installer menu. There is a blue dot next to Current(). But it does not appear on the extras menu, nor as a screensaver selection. I have two Squeezebox Servers, and put your URL on both of them. What am I doing wrong? I found that it was necessary to install the Alien BBC beta plugin to get it to work on Controller and SoftSqueeze, Add http://alienbbc.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/testrepo.xml to the extension downloader page on your SqueezeController (under advanced). That fixes the transcoder problems.
