This one was on Raspberry Pi B+ running max2play bundle. The network is 100MBps locally (ethernet) and ~30MBps internet connection. Spotty is configured to play 320kbps quality. I can try Raspberry Pi 3+ and compare tomorrow. mherger wrote: > No, it's more about the buffer sizes (defined using -b). I see, I never specified any values for -b, so I'm running with whatever the default is. kadimm's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68217 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108898 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I measure this delay between the time when I hit play button in Spotify UI (on phone or laptop) and the time when music actually starts to play. mherger wrote: > > I guess that device is using a larger buffer than a standard > squeezelite. I launch squeezelite using -a 80:32:32:1 option on SA RP device, could that be a problem? kadimm's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68217 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108898 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.3.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I'm currently running LMS with Spotty plugin on Raspberry Pi (I've tried B+ and 3+). I have two squeezelite clients connected to it, one running locally on the same RPi and the other running on another device (Simple Audio RoomPlayer - SA RP). When I play music through Spotify Connect directly on RPi I get ~7 seconds delay. When I stream it to SA RP I get ~20 seconds delay. Also when I play through Airplay (using ShairTunes) I get ~2-3 seconds delay in both cases, so no additional delay when playback is not on the same device with LMS. Are the numbers I getting (7 and 20 seconds) are expected or could it be better? kadimm's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68217 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108898 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
