Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] What Was That Tune? plugin
The "mark" option would especially be useful for remembering tracks that you want to DELETE from a playlist. My daughter's playlist is a Spotify playlist which is kind of difficult to edit from the Squeezebox system itself. Would be nice to be able to mark a song that she (or me!) is sick of and I can remember to go back and delete from Spotify next time I'm in there... spedinfargo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15712 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100756 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] What Was That Tune? plugin
I plan to try this out and I agree that the "mark" option would be nice. Maybe as a context menu option (kind of like or dislike songs on Pandora) or as an IR command that you could assign to your remote. I actually wouldn't be very interested in the full log at all - I would like it if I could log ONLY the songs that I mark. spedinfargo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15712 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100756 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
So I just subscribed to Rhapsody again and I haven't had Pandora application installed for some time for some reason. I went back and installed them both and got them up and running. On my two radios I have three apps that show up in My Apps in iPeng: Spotify, Pandora and Rhapsody. When I make my SB3 the active player in iPeng I only get Spotify in My Apps. I do see Pandora and Rhapsody in the "...More" section. I can even add Pandora and Rhapsody as one of the four "favorites" on the bottom. When I use the Controller I have all three apps on my main menu all the time. I've tried Flushing Cache in iPeng, rebooting the iPod, restarting the SB3, restarting LMS - nothing seems to want to get those two apps to show up in My Apps in iPeng. Any idea of what this could be? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I downloaded the new version and I can confirm that I'm still getting a regular crash of spotifyd.exe. The faulting module is always libspotify.dll - is that a 3rd-party DLL developed separately from spotifyd.exe? I wonder if there is a newer version of that DLL that a guy could try out. Another thing that I noticed is that spotifyd.exe is maxing out one of my four cores on my CPU. It is pretty much always 25%. I'll revert back to the other DLL and see if that has similar behavior (maybe that's normal...). spedinfargo wrote: > Awesome - great to hear that there is ongoing development of this > plug-in. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller
Curious if there is any simple programability or custom formatting, etc. that can be done to specific values before displaying them. For instance, in the Weather applet there is an observation time "%observation_epoch" that shows how old the observation is. Unfortunately this is reported as an epoch (seconds since x date?) which isn't really useful to display. What would be cool would be able to do something with that - either as simple as calculating it to "42 minutes ago" or maybe something even move clever like changing the font color of the temperature to yellow or red depending on how "stale" the reading is. For that matter, being able to do custom formatting or calculations of any of the values would be pretty powerful (I'm thinking something along the lines of Excel formulas for instance). Or else being able do a sprintf or String.Format around it (or maybe run it through a regex??). Just a follow-up: I can recreate the error using the Controller to start a Napster playlist... although I can go back and shuffle through my shuffle settings back to "shuffle song" after starting the playlist and the rest of the songs shuffle for me. I think one poster already mentioned this. On the Radio in the nursery, it still seems to work as expected - at least when I start the playlist from one of the preset buttons - I'm not sure if it happens when I go through the Napster app though (I'll test that tonight). -- spedinfargo spedinfargo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15712 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73603 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Napster not streaming some albums ?
I get this all the time as well (menu tries to move to the right but fails) - but I just assumed that it was because the album wasn't available for streaming. I guess I never went back to the Napster Web player to see if that was indeed the case. Next time I run into it I'll look it up on the website and see if it plays there and report back... darbyweb;510287 Wrote: > Apologies if this has been asked before - i've searched and couldnt see > an answer. > > Napster is working great on my Duets, except i keep finding albums that > dont stream. > > This weekend i find NO albums by the Lostprophets play - though they do > in the Napster webbrowser. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Biography or Album Review Support for Sirius and/or Napster?
While you guys are solving the world's problems here I'll answer the original question on which version I'm using... ;-) Version: 7.4.1 - r28947 @ Tue Oct 20 08:13:15 PDT 2009 The error is definitely when I ran the Biography link from the Sirius plugin, though, so don't spend any time on it. It was probably sending a blank/null string to your plugin and that's why it failed... It would be really cool if there was a way to grab artist/song info from the online services - the Biography would be addicting for me to look up artist info for new music I hear when it comes across... Thanks for all the work you guys do! sped mherger;515155 Wrote: > > Do you have a translatable menu string? > > Any way to confirm the plugin is installed? > > if (Slim::Utils::Strings::getstring('PLUGIN_ALBUMREVIEW') ne > 'PLUGIN_ALBUMREVIEW') ? > > PLUGIN_ALBUMCREDITS > PLUGIN_BIOGRAPHY -- spedinfargo spedinfargo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15712 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74978 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Perhaps it could be configurable behaviour? Isn't that already there in the settings? I haven't tested it myself but look at this setting in the advanced settings: Remove values in brackets/parenthesis from album title -- spedinfargo spedinfargo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15712 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74981 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Biography or Album Review Support for Sirius and/or Napster?
Hey Michael, Got the Biography and Album Review plugins up and running and love it. Unfortunately the majority of the listening I do isn't on my local collection - mainly online services, primarily Napster and Sirius. Is there anything that can be done to get the plugins to work with online services? I noticed that it shows in the context menu for Sirius but isn't there for the Napster app. On Sirius it tries to work but doesn't seem to like the Artist name - I wouldn't expect the Album Review to work since I don't think they send down the Album Title, but I noticed that Artist shows in the context menu (i.e., I can get to Last.FM and Amazon). I took a look at the log and saw that the plugin is not pulling the artist information: [10-02-06 10:31:09.0614] Slim::Control::Request::execute (1918) Error: While trying to run function coderef [Plugins::Biography::Plugin::cliQuery]: [Can't call method "artist" on an undefined value at Plugins/Biography/Plugin.pm line 734. ] Anyway - just wondering if you thought about support for any online services... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Napster Playlists and shuffle
I just got my brand new Radio for the baby room last night and set it up using MySqueezebox and taught my wife how to make playlists on Napster. I assigned one of the playlists to one of the Radio Favorites button and every time I start it up it works perfectly as far as shuffle goes. It even starts with a different song each time (as I would expect). Like I said, Mysqueezebox (no local SBS) with stock firmware (it downloaded and installed automatically from MSB). So no help here other than I can't recreate the issue! -- spedinfargo spedinfargo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15712 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73603 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Possible? Use Last.FM "Top Tracks" In Auto-Playlists to sort by Popularity?
Just curious to see if anyone has gone down this road with any of the existing plug-ins or other tools. I would like to tie into the Last.FM "Top Tracks" charts for either an artist or album. For example: http://www.last.fm/music/The+Hold+Steady I can see two great uses for that. At a party, if I want to put a huge chunk of my library on shuffle, I would rather have the songs be kind of weighted to the more popular songs. For instance, if I have some Elton John in there, I would rather have it come up with songs that EVERYONE knows, rather than have it throw in some of his more obscure stuff. Greatest Hits albums in general don't necessarily get the job done since there's a lot of crap that gets thrown on those these days... I also tend to listen to a LOT of new artists. While I don't necessarily like to judge a band by what tracks everyone else is listening to, sometimes it's nice to get a little exposure to some bands by starting with some or their more popular songs. I've had albums where I gave up after a couple songs but then realize that I had started with a couple different songs, it would have been a better introduction. So most of this could be done by song ratings, but for the most part, the charts at Last.FM are pretty valuable. If you look at Elton John or the Rolling Stones, for instance, well, the songs really are pretty much in order that a non-fanatic would consider them. Of course you could always fine-tune this ranking a bit with your own song ratings as well... Anyway - see where I'm getting at with this? Anyone seen anything that would tie into this sort of data? -- spedinfargo spedinfargo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15712 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46136 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
