Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
I have been running both CC Bridge and the UPnP Bridge successfully on my Xubuntu based server. Recently I built a box running VortexBox 2.4 where I installed the latest 7.9 nightly for Fedora. On that box, I installed bot bridges, but ran into a problem with the CC Bridge, UPnP works fine. Every time I try to generate the config file, it crashs and the log file starts piling up these three error messages in what looks random like order: Code: Retarting Squeeze2cast after crash: /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/CastBridge/Bin/squeeze2cast-x86-64 -Z -I -x /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/castbridge.xml Retarting Squeeze2cast after crash: /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/CastBridge/Bin/squeeze2cast-x86-64 -Z -I -f /var/log/squeezeboxserver/castbridge.log -x /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/castbridge.xml Retarting Squeeze2cast after crash: /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/CastBridge/Bin/squeeze2cast-x86-64 -Z -I -f /var/log/squeezeboxserver/castbridge.log -x /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/castbridge.xml -i /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/castbridge.xml Any suggestions? Ok, I did that. Now it behaves like this (LG G Watch R): When I start the app on the watch, the screen goes blank for a very short time, then it goes back to the apps menu on the watch. But it opens the Squeeze Ctrl widget in my phone's notification bar. If no Squeezebox is running, that's it. If at least one box is playing music, then I get a notification on my watch. Google has announced Google Cast for audio. This integrates the same tech behind Chromecast into speakers, soundbars, and A/V receivers to let you cast your music from Android, iOS, and the web. First hardware partners for speakers are Sony, LG and Denon. http://chrome.blogspot.ch/2015/01/introducing-google-cast-for-audio.html http://www.google.com/castaudio/ Would be nice, if any of the LMS apps for mobile devices could support this in the future. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music Artist Information plugin
Thanks for the clarification :) mherger wrote: Are there any specifications for *.nfo files? Can these be considered plain text files? There already is code to find biographies etc. as txt, pdf and html. But it should be quite straight forward to be added if we can assume it's plain text and can be handled by a web browser. Could you please provide a few sample files? Yes, NFO files are plain text containing XML data. For music related NFO files see the Kodi Wiki: http://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files/music I also attached a sample album.nfo file. Main reason I was looking into this was the fact, that I run LMS and XBMC on my server. The latter naturally for videos, but I also added my music to it, as a backup solution, since XBMC works now well as a UPnP server with gapless play etc. It also streams FLAC without conversion into mp3. I then ran and tested many available artist and album scrapers in XBMC, all with mixed results: outside mainstream pop music there were hardly any info scraped. Your Music Artist Info plugin gets more pictures, f. ex. But XBMC has the option to export all pictures and NFO files locally to your drive in the above described paths, so that one can manually edit and/or replace them; which I did for the pictures so far. +---+ |Filename: sample-album-nfo.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=16756| +---+ - *ASRock Ion 330* (home office) w/ Xubuntu 14.04 + XBMC Gotham + LMS 7.9, FLAC Local Player Behringer MS 40 - *Boom* (master bedroom), *Radio* (master bathroom), *Archos 35 Home Connect* + SqueezePlayer (guest bathroom) - *Reson PR 80s* as UPnP client (living room) Parasound DAC 1500 vintage Wega Modul 42V amp (w/ 42E equalizer, 42T tape deck, and Thorens TD 160 Mk II turntable) Quadral Vulkan Mk II - *RPi + RaspBMC* (living room) Samsung UE60H6270 w/ HW-H450 soundbar - *Duet* + *Radio* in storage wortgefecht's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63295 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music Artist Information plugin
Sorry in advance, if my questions have been answered already: 1. Where does the MAI scraper store the artist/album pictures? 2. Where and in what format (nfo, txt, ...) does it store the artist/album information? I am still looking for a solution to locally store this information in a platform/software agnostic manner, i.e. Music/artist/folder.jpg for artist picture Music/artist/artist.nfo for artist info Music/artist/album/folder.jpg for album art Music/artist/album/album.nfo for album info This way I would have consistent art/info across several platforms (LMS, XBMC, Plex etc.) and players. For video files there are several tools for this. - *ASRock Ion 330* (home office) w/ Xubuntu 14.04 + XBMC Gotham + LMS 7.9, FLAC Local Player Behringer MS 40 - *Boom* (master bedroom), *Radio* (master bathroom), *Archos 35 Home Connect* + SqueezePlayer (guest bathroom) - *Reson PR 80s* as UPnP client (living room) Parasound DAC 1500 vintage Wega Modul 42V amp (w/ 42E equalizer, 42T tape deck, and Thorens TD 160 Mk II turntable) Quadral Vulkan Mk II - *RPi + RaspBMC* (living room) Samsung UE60H6270 w/ HW-H450 soundbar - *Duet* + *Radio* in storage wortgefecht's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63295 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
