BMP artwork is not supported by SBS. Not a SlimNAS issue.

I Know BMP are not supported... There some .bmp files left. I deleted
them...

Thanks for putting together the great system which I was using happily
till I upgraded freenas, oops.

I installed the latest versions per instructions on FreeNAS 0.7RC2
(revision 4856) i386-full; Nvidia AWRDACPI AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2600+
2048MiB RAM
I clicked enable and - no joy.

I could try an re-install old tarball to get dependencies fixed? I blew
away my previous freenas installation when upgrading, which I expect
most current users of slimserver haven't done.

Cheers,

Sounds like you have huge artwork embedded in that file? Could you (for a test)
copy one of the files, remove embedded artwork, and try again?

You might want to file a bug on http://bugs.slimdevices.com - this isn't a
SlimNAS issue, but most likely a limitation in the scanner code. A small sample
file showing this behaviour would greatly help us reproduce the problem. Thanks!

7.5.0 and SlimNAS, any chance this is working Michael ?

I'd expect it to work, yes. But I wonder why anyone would want to install
7.5 at this point?

What happens if you update the status?

Maybe that information isn't clear. But what you're seeing imho is
expected behaviour: SBS isn't ready yet. Please update status.

2009-10-13 Thread gadgetgeek

Hi, Would it be possible for someone to upload their non corrupted
squeezeboxserver-xx.tzg file somewhere please? I only have a
windows desktop pc and i have read that people downloading these files
are getting corrupted?

I am running freenas 0.7RC1 Sardaukar (revision 4735)and have
successfully run the installed (SlimNAS Version v1.9.99a)but when i go
to install squeezeboxserver-7.4.1-28825.tgz for example. Slimnas is

I had slimnas running for a long time on 0.69 freenas and it was
awesome (thanks mherger).

The same was happening on (SlimNAS Version v1.5.1.tgz)

Am i doing any thing wrong?

Thanks
Dave

I have the directory, but it is empty

when I perform a ps -auxw there is no process like mysql or something
else which is pointing to the squeezebox software.

The only thing I can see is in the freenas gui that the status of
slimnas.1.9.99a is in the state failed.

Hmm... would you care logging in to the FreeNAS? If not: go to the install

I found the problem. the squeezeboxserver.tgz I downloaded was
incomlete.
It was not complaining like other posts about the .tgz

I downloaded the file via Safari and now everything is up and running.

At least thanks for your help !

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SlimNAS 1.9.99 for SqueezeboxServer 7.4.1+ / FreeNAS 0.7

2009-10-10 Thread mstokoe

I've been running slimnas on a prior freenas release (embedded) for a
while but recently upgraded to latest version of freenas. I'm now
running freenas 0.7RC1 and have installed slimnas 1.9.99. Whenever, I
try to install the squeezebox tar file it reports (after some time) that
the file is corrupted. The same problem is happening when using slimnas
1.5.1.

I don't know if it's my install but would like to know if others are
having this problem. I have re-downloaded the tar file multiples and
problem persists.

Thanks,
Martin

Unfortunately that's a known issue which we'll need to fix on the server end.
If you're familiar with the command line, try downloading it using wget or
fetch. Browsers for some unknown reason seem to corrupt the file :-(
