I have iOS and android devices. I've bought all of the squeeze* apps if for no other reason than to support the developer ecosystem. My hands-down favorite control device is iPad with SqueezePad. I wish that same UI/interface could become the squeezebox server / LMS web UI. I wish it was available on andriod I wish it was a plugin for xbmc I wish there was a new touch/radio hybrid device with a large touch screen with the squeezepad UI, and stereo speakers. -Ross -- rcampbel3 rcampbel3's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38284 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91077 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If you select 'Remove from list' the server will be removed but re-added automatically once it is discovered again. If you select 'Ignore server' it will be completely ignored, ie. never re-added. But you are right, I should probably auto-remove a server after X unsuccessful connection attempts. 2. The next version will at least save the last state (hidden/visible) and restore it after a restart. 3. Just use the Home button instead of the Back button in this case. It will stop the background service (after 10 seconds) but it will not destroy the activity until resources are needed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Advantages / Disadvantages of the various Android Squeezebox remote controllers
I enjoy SqueezeCommander more than the Logitech App. I have one of those devices, where scrolling didn't work at all in the Logitech App and with the current beta version it improved but still feels slow compared to SqueezeCommander. Sometimes it's the simple things that give the most joy: for instance when it comes to browsing speed you cannot beat SqueezeCommander. On the one hand this is because of SqueezeCommander caching lists, but it also has a index bar where you can scroll down ultra fast. Then SqueezeCommander also has a little popup when changing the volume, showing you the current value. Again - very small feature, but proved to be priceless for me as I just know the three most important volume values so don't have to fiddle that much until I have setup my Squeezebox volume in the morning or evening. This little index bar and volume popup alone are worth the 3,50#8364; (including VAT) for me, I actually don't even use more features than browsing, selecting the player and changing volume. Of course SqueezeCommander has many more advanced features (for instance being able to connect from the internet - making it the best choice together with SqueezePlayer, when you want to stream your music to your Android phone). -- bluegaspode Did you know: *'SqueezePlayer' (www.squeezeplayer.com)* will stream all your music to your Android device.
