Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IRBlaster on Touch and 7.6

2011-12-23 Thread luny

gr8!

Touch with IR blaster now sends volume signals to my amp when:
- using web interface
- using android app
- using Touch screen
- using infra-red remote for Touc

It does not work however when using the duet controller???
Volume of the touch is set to 100%. When changing that setting, also
the duet controller is able to set my volume amp, but that is not
desirable.

Shouldn't the duet controller work while volume is set to 100% ??

Regards

Hi there

@luny: Thanks for reporting. I can see the issue you are describing
when using an SB Controller. I need to think about how to fix that.

@reniera: Have you had a look at the wiki?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IRBlaster on Touch and 7.6

2011-12-22 Thread fcm4711

Hi guys

I finally found time to update the IR Blaster plugin to support SB
Touch (NEC and RC5).

If you already have the IR Blaster plugin installed LMS should alert
you about the update to version 6.2. In case it's not happening
automatically you might need to first uninstall the old version (be
sure to save your *.conf files first), then add the following plugin
repository:

http://www.gwendesign.com/sc/repo/repo.xml

and then enable the new version of IR Blaster.

Note: Please be aware that SB Touch cannot support RAW IR format as it
is not sending RAW IR codes to the server like SB2/3 and TR do. The
implication as stated before is that the following functionality isn't
available on SB Touch:

- IR learning
- IR repeating
- Use of previously learned IR commands (as they are stored in RAW
format too)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IRBlaster on Touch and 7.6

2011-08-12 Thread linvale

I have been having problems with irblaster on my transporter but not the
classic which controls a separate amp but runs from the same server. I
don't know if its a hardware failure, I can learn remote codes but
there seems to be no output from the ir out port. Tried going back in
versions and reinstalling but no success.

I really miss the functionality - so have started to look at other ways
to achieve the same effect. Nothing as simple and elegant as this.

Anyone else has issues?

FYI, though, I have learned a remote on an SB3 Classic after
installing 7.6 from scratch... so it does work to some degree. I don't
do anything advanced with it, just turn on/off a microsystem and
control the volume, and that was learned and works fine.

Oh, that's a different issue... the issue I was talking about was an

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IRBlaster on Touch and 7.6

2011-08-05 Thread JohnSwenson

I'm thinking that at this point the best bet to get IR blaster type
functionality is to get an external USB IR blaster and put reall live
lirc on the Touch. I think that could be done without modifying the
firmware in any way.

There would then need to be an applet that talked to lirc and the rest
of the Touch or maybe to a plugin on an external server. There are a
number of different ways it could be configured.

The ir plugin appears to be dead in the water . I don't think it's had a
update in over 1 1/2 years and
quit working for me on the Squeezebox server update of about 6-8 months

I'd look for another solution to control your amp .

You mean as in having any IR Blaster support at all? As far as I know
there is nothing new with respect to IR in 7.6.0. The Release Notes
(http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Release_Notes) and changelog
don't indicate anything either.

Yeah... there was some talk at one point about some basic functionality
being exposed for the benefit of IR Blaster -- i.e.
http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=12997

But I guess that bug shows it's not in 7.6
