Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] My Apps - No spotify

2013-11-05 Thread sciurius

I did check Show in my apps. When unchecked, the Spotify plugin
doesn't appear under the Radio menu either.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] My Apps - No spotify

2013-11-05 Thread sciurius

LMS 7.8.0 built from git. Works okay. Except...

I install Triode's Spotify plugin. I restart LMS. The plugin appears on
the home page, under My Apps.
A short while later, after another restart, Spotify does no longer
appear under My Apps.
The plugin is configured and passes the self test. I can control it via
a remote, e.g. the Squeeze app on Android. Everything works except that
it just doesn't show under My Apps.

Any idea what could be going on?

If you've unchecked Show in My Apps in Spotify settings, it may now
show under Radio.

I've now installed LMS on my laptop on Windows XP as a test and it works
fine, so the problem looks to be with Vortexbox, but I've done a fresh
install and updated LMS to 7.2.2.

It looks like logitech support are pushing their line of questioning
towards the we don't support it response.

I'm going to install LMS on to my windows laptop as a temporary test
and see if that opens things up.

Yes, the IP range is one I've set, all devices in the house are

I'll check the firewall when I get home in 12 hours (in work now
unfortunately)

I'm wondering whether this is possibly a problem with the account

[SlimDevices: Plugins] My Apps

2012-03-31 Thread chn68b

What on earth am I doing wrong here?

I've had the squeezebox for a few years now and never had this issue
before. I had assumed that the problem was vortexbox but I've since
installed a new version and the problem remains.

If I use the Squeezebox radio and connect to mysqueezebox rather than
my Vortexbox I can access myapps no problem, however, when I connect to
my home library (the vortexbox server) myapps is now empty.

I've added the username and password, confirmed it but its just not
playing ball and been like this for a few weeks now.

What on earth has happened?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] My Apps

2012-03-31 Thread Mnyb

The likeliest cause is some DNS issue within LMS, can sometimes be
startup order, LMS is running before there is any network and never
ever recovers.
Some DNS issue with the vortexbox itself .
Wrong password .

You get no apps because LMS can't access mysqueezebox.com .

What is server log saying ?

If you open a shell on your VB via ssh and ping like this ?

ping -c5 www.mysqueezebox.com

(if this works DNS is resolving on the vortexbox itself)

and

ping -c5 176.34.103.98

(if you want to ping directly without dns)

 Both seem ok?

I've added the password so many times now, I've logged into the website
to confirm that the details are correct also.

Ok that means that the VB resolves DNS then thats not it.

I think you tried this before but, what if you just stop the LMS
service and then start it again ? (not rebooting the VB just restarting
the LMS server ) .

Then I'm out of ideas :-/

Just restarted the lms service again the problem remains.

I can't be quite sure, but I think this problem may have occurred since
I purchased a new router. Would I need to configure the firewall
settings to allow this to work? I don't believe I had to with the old
router.

When you add the password to the mysqueezebox page in settings, if the
password is correct does the password field go blank?
