Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Extracting music database in text format

have you looked at Album Catalog Creator ?

the trouble may be that ACC does only work on windows ...
I have compiled some python scripts that are able to query SC via CLI I
can provide, however they are really slow to extract a full database.

The best solution would certainly be to create something similar to ACC
direclty in SC, but I lack perl knowledge (and time :)) to do that, even
if i would be deeply interested in such plugin

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin

2012-12-29 Thread eLR!C

Thanks Michael, it's working since 0.93 (local music only, after a full
rescan)

Mix does not seem narrowed to known songs as much and respect the
style / artist / song chosen.
The blender feature is really interesting

Thanks again

Could you please elaborate? I'm not sure whether this is good or bad or

 just an observation :-)

Often I found that MusicIP (with local musicip instance and proper tags
in flac files) was ignoring some part of my record collection when
trying to make a mix. I did some tests yesterday with some specific
styles that are not mainstream (i.e. African, French or Italian music)
and was very pleased with the mix provided by the plugin with the
default settings which was not restricted to the genre but was
respecting the style of the initial track.

So definitely a good thing :)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Squeeze-Controller [windows, linux, osx] Alpha, Testers Wanted

2016-08-19 Thread eLR!C

Thank you very much for this refreshing front-end (plus, it's blazing
fast compared with the web interface ... what a pleasure) !

usage comment : I instinctively tried to reorder the playlist by
drag'n'drop, but that does not (yet ?) work. Maybe an idea for a future
release

Keep the good work : I already adopted it as my main way to manage my
music when on my desktop :)
