Use objdump -p, ldd shows more libraries than we're interested in for WANTLIB.
Re: NEW: audio/celt
On Wed, 01 Dec 2010, Christian Weisgerber wrote: David Coppa dco...@gmail.com wrote: This is a port for the CELT codec from the Xiph.Org Foundation. It's a dependency needed by my work on the Mumble/Murmur audio chat system. Where does patch-libcelt_pitch_c come from? Is this a post-0.9.1 fix from upstream? Yes, I've added a comment to the patch. tools/celtdec.c could use sndio support. Isn't this the same code as in speexdec? Can you reuse the sndio patch from there? Oh, Thanks... This did the trick. Why REGRESS_IS_INTERACTIVE? Because I'm a moron :) tandem-test fails every time for me (I only tried amd64), although not always with the same error. Upstream said that one is more a problem with the test than with CELT itself. See: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/celt-dev/2010-November/000519.html For now, I've zapped tandem-test from tests Makefile. The new port's tarball is attached. News from 2L .:. December 2010SUBSCRIBENews from 2L December 2010UNSUBSCRIBE TRONDHEIMSOLISTENE - in folk style nominated for two GRAMMY-awards The Trondheim Soloists is nominated for Best Small Ensemble Performance. In the category Best Surround Sound Album Morten Lindberg is nominert as producer and engineer for the same album. The Norwegian label 2L now count a total of 9 nominations past five years. The 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on February 13th, 2011, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and once again will be broadcast live in high definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on CBS. TRONDHEIMSOLISTENE - in folk style: In Nordic Melodies we find Grieg in passionate play with folk songs. The work sparkles with harmonies and expression, developing a whole story from just a few short stanzas. The Holberg Suite, loved for its beauty and feared for its challenges, is a fusion of European musical tradition and a genuine Norwegian sound palette. The Trondheim Soloists follow up with two brilliant soloists, Emilia Amper on nyckelharpa and Gjermund Larsen on fiddle, in newly commissioned music characterized by the same energy and tenderness. Wild nature and Nordic light are essential elements of the folk style. This lies at the core of the Trondheim Soloist's soul, a meeting between the musical playfulness and passion. Conductor: Øyvind Gimse. Ensemble leader: Geir Inge Lotsberg. The Trondheim Soloists is regarded one of the top chamber orchestras in the world. Their DIVERTIMENTI was nominated for the 51st GRAMMY Awards as Best Small Ensemble, Best Engineered Album and Best Surround Sound Album in 2008. Now IN FOLK STYLE sets a new standard for the performance of Edvard Grieg's Suite From Holberg's Time with the intense musical details revealed in this most spectacular surround sound recording ever made. The world's smallest and the world's largest musical instrument; David and Goliath together in stunning baroque pieces and Norwegian folk music! In the right hands the harmonica can be an instrument of great beauty and sophistication. Sigmund Groven, like Tommy Reilly and Larry Adler before him, makes full use of the wide range and tonal expressions that the harmonica is capable of. Even though they have chosen very different instruments, and are also quite different personalities in many ways, they have a fundamental musical rapport and understanding and also have many other things in common. They both originate from musical families; born and raised in Telemark, a region of Norway rich in folk-music, they have always had an open mind and taken keen interest in various contemporary and popular musical styles and idioms. They left Norway to study, and their mentors were the best possible role models: In Munich Iver came under the guidance of organist Franz Lehrndorfer and legendary choirmaster, conductor, and organist Karl Richter, whereas Sigmund had the great fortune to study in England with his boyhood idol, the equally legendary Tommy Reilly, one of the great pioneers of serious harmonica-playing. artist portrait ANNAR FOLLESØ Annar Follesø studied at Barratt Due Musikkinstitutt in Oslo and at Indiana University in Bloomington, USA. In addition to his violin studies with Mauricio Fuks in Bloomington, he studied baroque violin with Stanley Ritchie and chamber music with György Sebök and Leonard Hokanson, among others. Follesø has recorded three CDs for the record label 2L, the most recent being world premiere recordings of the violin concertos by the Scandinavian Paganini, Ole Bull (1810-1880). A collaboration with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra conducted by Ole Kristian Ruud, this CD was released in March 2010. The release has received superb reviews, and the Grieg Society of Great Britain has conferred on the recording its Record of the Year award. The disc has been widely broadcast, and in September 2010 the entire CD was aired by BBC 3 as part of their five-programme traversal of Ole Bull and his times. The Yehudi Menuhin

New: www/quercus - PHP for Java-based web servers
pkg/DESCR Quercus is Caucho Technology's fast, open-source, 100% Java implementation of the PHP language. Quercus is a feature of Caucho Technology's Resin Application Server and is also available separately for use with existing Java-based web servers. Developers using Resin can launch PHP projects without having to install the standard PHP interpreter (http://www.php.net) as Quercus takes on the role of the PHP engine. Quercus implements PHP 5 and is internationalization/localization (i18n/l10n) aware. Quercus natively supports Unicode and the new Unicode syntax of the up-and-coming PHP 6. Quercus implements a growing list of PHP extensions (i.e. APC, iconv, GD, gettext, JSON, MySQL, Oracle, PDF, Postgres, etc.). Many popular PHP applications will run as well as, if not better, than the standard PHP interpreter straight out of the box. pkg/MESSAGE Quercus can be installed in any Java-5 compatible Java web or application server. The entire Quercus distribution in unpacked WAR format is in ${TRUEPREFIX}/share/examples/quercus; you can copy this directory to your app server directory, e.g., for Tomcat, cp -r ${TRUEPREFIX}/share/examples/quercus/quercus-${VER} /var/tomcat/webapps/quercus Visit e.g. http://localhost:8080/quercus/ to make sure that it works. Then cp -r your PHP app into the same directory, e.g., for WordPress: cp -r /var/www/wordpress/* /var/tomcat/webapps/quercus Read the documentation, especially on using JDBC Connection Pools. Be sure to check out the custom LICENSE file in the root of the web app; other license terms may be available from Caucho with paid support. port is at http://www.darwinsys.com/openbsd/myports/quercus.tar.gz Tested just to see that hello.php works and that WordPress starts up. x11/xmonad dep issues
Perhaps this is something I am doing wrong, but I noticed that if you: pkg_add -v xmonad (After setting PKG_PATH to point to a location with packages.), you will not get the xmonad-lib package installed. Without xmonad-lib, xmonad is essentially non-functional. I think either the xmonad and xmonad-lib packages should be merged in to just xmonad, or xmonad should depend on xmonad-lib. Additionally, it would be handy if the xmonad package recommended the installation of hs-xmonad-contrib, which is also useful for more complex xmonad.hs setups, but has a slightly different package naming style than xmonad and xmonad-lib. I am using OpenBSD 4.8 on i386, tracking -stable. -- David Cantrell | KB1PCX http://www.burdell.org/

The reason for splitting it into xmonad and xmonad-lib was that people who are happy with the default config shouldn't be forced to get ghc installed (which you need for xmonad-lib).
